I agree McCort has fallen on hard times. I also agree if McCort played in the WestPac or something they would have a better record. The LHAC isn't great but it's beyond this current McCort team clearly. I wouldn't be shocked to see them get a little closer to .500 next year and be a playoff team in 2016. A new coach wasn't going to wave a magic wand and make this team great, not sure if anyone was expecting that. Jim Harbaugh could be coaching McCort, they would be a 2-8 team. You are only as good as your players. They are young, they don't have great team speed, and they aren't all that big either. They need work. These teams don't even remotely resemble the teams from 2001-2009.

Do you feel Coach Davitch and his staff is doing a good job at McCort getting their team ready to play? I question that fact, again I knew going into the season they might win 2 games, but the way this team plays is bad, the coaching staff looks lost. Two years ago you would see Coach Gardill along the sideline helping his players to play harder, this year nothing, where is Coach Reaman along the sideline?

Just looked at the Tribune-Democrat Pre-season football review. I knew I saved it for some reason. Looked at all the teams, their coaches and assistants. Most teams had around 7-8 assistants, give or take a few. Bishop McCort, however, had 15 assistants listed PLUS the head coach. With about 45 kids on the roster, that's about ONE coach for every THREE players. Isn't there an old saying about "too many chefs"?

When my non-Catholic nephew attended BMCHS, his parents were required to perform services for the school or team, like sell tickets, attend/ perform services at school functions, whatever. Maybe some of these same parents are performing their "service" to the school and team by being on the field as ..........assistant coaches. Please note that extended pause. Read into it what you will.
