It's all in showing progress, but intent is right on point. I remember a decent Southern Huntingdon squad completely dominated the first half of a scrimmage against the 99 state champs. The impending gasket blowing at halftime will be forever etched into Tyrone lore . While the Eagles did come out and score 6 tds in 7 minutes, the lesson was not yet done being impressed into that group but it was well engrained to memory and served them well.

I know the 2006 McCort team lost their two scrimmages and even their first game to Bedford before winning the next 11 games and beating Tyrone in the D6 Final. It happens.

We are talking about practice! A scrimmage is no more than a practice against another team.

Sometimes they even use the sticks and the officials actually make a call or 2. Go figure.
