Agreed, unless you have a money growing tree.

Judging by their facilities and such, I highly doubt ANY of those players are on full rides. Pure guess, but probably fair guess would be the most any one player is getting is about a grand a year.

A grand a year adds up though mate. I didnt expect any full rides. But as someone who has benifitted from a couple scholarships it pretty much half as much as a regular person

Division II college baseball probably has 9 full scholarships, and what they do is give out percentages. So player X may have a 70% full ride, or player Y may have a 30%. Considering Pitt'a tuition, that is more than a grand.

Yeah, I had a strange situation with baseball at UPJ. Not going to bore you with a lot of the specifics but it kind of felt like it was just an open tryout. I don't know if anyone actually was on scholarship, never really talked about it. I signed a letter of intent, but there was never any talk of aid. Around my sophomore year I kind of just decided I need to get on with my life and dedicate full time to studies (and get a part-time gig and make some $$$). This would have been like 94-95... so under the previous coach.

Tanner Polinski, Robbie Bambino, Blaine Harteis, Sam Vought, Dom Panick, Ryan Richardson, and a lot of other Jr's and sophs. And the aforementioned Adam Cecere, making his HS debut in his supposedly best sport. A couple other frosh will make the team as well, incl. Jake Shope. I look for the number of team losses to be counted on one hand. Def. Coach C's best team in a few years.
Agreed, regarding the optimistic outlook for FH in 2016. I believe they only had 4 Seniors in 2015, all contributers. Still scratching my head about 2015...with the talent on that team,...I thought they grossly underachieved. This season has even more "potential", but potential doesn't win games. They'll need to convert that potential into execution. If they do, it could be a very special season.

You know what "they" always say: It's why they have to play the games. The ingredients are there, they just have to be properly mixed to turn out something sweet.
