Hope? Then why would I start the topic "Who will get there first" if I didn't think Pitt will become bowl eligible?

Honestly speaking, Rutgers isn't that bad. Who are you planning on defeating? You need 6 wins, at least!

6 Sat., Oct 8 Cincinnati 12:00 PM ET
7 Sat., Oct 15 South Florida 12:00 PM ET
8 Sat., Oct 22 Syracuse 12:00 PM ET
10 Thur., Nov 3 @Louisville 7:30 PM ET
11 Sat., Nov 12 Connecticut 12:00 PM ET

I can't see Pitt beating Louisville in their current state, which leaves them 7 potentially winnable games. That's it. Pitt needs to win 6 out of those 7 to make a bowl game. Can they do it, with the way they are currently playing football? No, they can't. Pitt is playing really lousy right now, and if they lose three more games, they are out of bowl contention unless there is a complete and total lack of winning teams. In that case, they'll pick up a good 5-6 team before they pick up a team that went 5-6 with a slate as weak as Pittsburgh's is. Sorry, but there is no way this Pitt team is making a bowl game. Wait, why am I sorry? With the way all you bozos rag on PSU, I'd love to see you get your payback with Pitt losing 6+ games with one of the weakest schedules in Division I-A football. HA!

Nope. Pitt's current state, which is the state of being pathetic.

And we all know that Pitt and PSU are in the same state, right?

No way. They'd never let a team as bad as Pitt in the same state as the best team ever in college football, the next national champions, the unranked, Penn State University.

State is not being used in the sense of geography, but in the sense of condition. No, PSU is not in the same condition as Pitt, because Pitt is 0-3 and has lost to Ohio University, while Penn State is 3-0, with two of those warm up wins being against Pitt's conference opponents. While PSU is far from being a national champion (please cut the crap on that, as me and most of the other PSU fans on this site realize that, but are becoming somewhat optimistic), Pitt has put up a far worse showing than Penn State has. As much as you Pitt fans love bragging about how great your team is, it's great to have this score to rub in your face: Ohio 16, Pittsburgh 10.
