Their new young kid inside is a force, the kid stands stands 6'6'' and is a sophomore. Morse has obviously worked on his game since last season, but still seems to insist on fading away on every shot. His release is lightning quick and he is passing the ball almost too much for my liking. He needs to take games over this season.

Ligonier Valley defeated Laurel Valley in game that was not very close - 74-34....New Piaa mercy rule went into affect. Had running clock (except for time out and quarter break) from about 1/2 way thru the third period. Adam Stinolge had 29 for the Ligonier with Chris Morrisey adding 23. The Ligonier Mounties travel to Blairsville on Thursday...

State College will be loaded in AAAA,but that Kanaskie kid is out for the year(broken wrist).Heard it on sports talk radio last week.I'm mildly surprised by Tyrone's 2-0 start. They returned alot of talent and size(3 kids over 6'4);but senior Brady Hoover(6'5-3 year starter)and Ben Gummo aren't playing.Hoover is a head case that hates the coach and Gummo is concentrating on baseball and football(weightroom). If they continue to progress they could be a darkhorse.I think BG is the class of AA.Huntingdon or Indian Valley in AAA,and JV in A.

Ligonier seems to be the team to beat so far. They looked good last year too though and SHOULD HAVE lost to a sub-par LHAC team in Cambria Heights last year if they could have made a layup at the end.
