I'd really hate to play the Fannett-Metal girls team, heck by the sound of it they hardly ever turn the ball over, they play great defense, and they shoot the ball really well. And on top of that, they can compete with boys teams! Wow, what a team. I wouldn't want to see them on my schedule....

ok.....they are not that good ...... they lost some of their talent by graduating seniors and seniors this year who decided that they had better things to do than play ball..... they cant compete with the boys ..... but that doesnt mean that there arent certain players that help them get the few points that they do get.....if everyone on the team played like Kristy Crouse and Paige Yocum .... fm would have a kick butt team ..... but thats not the way it goes
dont get me wrong they have great coaches and some pretty good talent .... but sometimes you have an off year

There was a girl who played last year for my local High school, here in the W.P.I.A.L... The school is Southmoreland... The girls name was Vanessa Able.. She now is at West Virginia on a full -ride playing for W.V.U. Womens D#1Basketball program..Standing only at 5feet -6 inches tall, but with razor sharp concentration...

She can play defense as well as any (Male or Female), on the floor with her...Although she was known for her offensive scoring . Her Defense set up her way too her scoring.

She'll watch your body language & moves & then set a counter attack on how she's going to take the ball from you.. She'll watch your arm & hand that controlls (85) percent of your movement & dribble, then she'll watch your feet to see which way your going to most likely want to make your move while setting up your dribble... The Pivots & turns will then be shortened to her atvantage, & then before you know it, the ball is in her hands & going the other way... This was a self-taught method that was encouraged by her father... Her head-coach don't even know what she did :oops: He called it a natural instinct, but It was her & her Dad, that made this work & happen...Pretty neat/ cool to watch & see...

the fact of the matter is that u can count the girls that can beat a guy of the same age with the same amount of playing experience on one hand. the fact of the matter, if a quick smart d 1 girls player whos 5 6 goes up against a tenth man sophmore in high school whos 6 3, she cant win, because she will never block his shot

i hate to say it, but i believe aliquippa could beat any d 1 girls team easy

some girls can like paige yocum and kristie crouse... they can compete as long as they give it their all and play with their heads and their hearts!! LETS GO FM!!

the fact of the matter is guys are just more athletic then girls, i mean its a fact, im not saying this to be sexist, but girls just cannot keep up with guys athletically.

im sorry, but u need a reality check if you believe that just cuz someone works their hardest and tries there best it means that theyll come out the victor.

plus the only reason ur saying this stuff is because ur definately a girl. lets say that there was some third gender, looking at the competetion between guys and girls sports, would you honestly think that a girls team could beat a guys

Apples to Oranges...Look at any sport where guys and girls can be acuratley compared such as track..guys jump higher, run faster, and do better in throwing events that are based on strength...and a game that was 27-26 is very boring..and there is no way either team played great basketball compared to a guys game if the score turned out that way..Girls should play sports and have fun and be competitive..but at the end of the day whats more exciting? What do more people watch?

you are lumping every girls game together... not all girls have "slow" games some are very exciting such as the forbes road-fm girls game it was very intense!!!!! but i started this topic by saying it was a good game when fm played mcc now it has turned into a guys vs. girls topic... i do want to say one thing to all tussey mt. boys who come to the girls games and sit by the team you guys have awesome school spirt i only wish some boys at our school would have the guts to come out and watch the girls play and cheer for them! so kudos to you!
