I too believe J. Condo was the long snapper for the Raiders this year.

I would be interested to know what the league minimum is for pay in the NFL.

3 or 4 years in professional football, if the finances are handled properly, would allow a person/family financial security for a lifetime.

What ever happened to Jon Condo? Never did play much at Maryland. Claim to fame was as a long snapper in college. Did supposedly try out at Dallas. What happened?

Was the long snapper for the Cowboys for the better part of 2 years, cut after one bad snap, out of football close to a year, signed early this past year as the Raiders long snapper; still there.

Yeah, I think you're talking about Jeff Satosky. He played for Saint Francis, and I think he put up some decent career numbers there.

Also, while he was a product of the 80s, Hasselrig was a freak of nature. I remember watching him work out for NFL teams at UPJ. Running in the mid 4.5s for his 40 yard dash, and having a rediculous vertical for a man who was barely over 6 foot tall, weighing 280 plus. He would have been a force in MMA fighting.

Jim Benbow was the best lineman I played against in college. His linemate went on to a fairly long career with the bears and then a few others. Not sure what happened to him, but he was tough. When he locked on you were going for a ride.
Another guy that was tough was the RB from McCort a year ahead of Hawkins---smooth, long strider.

Rashuan Puryear? former BMHS QB in the 90's? thats if your asking about another smooth rider from McCort hes before my time so i really wouln't know but i've heard he was real talented player

Saw Rashaun Puryear play twice. 1995 and 1996. Both losses to FH. Thought he ended up at Shippensburg, but didn't finish.

I thought Puryear developed a different vocation, one that involved working with his hands and mettalurgy.

I do believe that Andy Hagans from Somerset did play as a freshman for the I-AA Citadel around 1997, but quit after one term.

Also the Baer kid from Chestnut Ridge went to Northwestern as a walk-on in 1997 and eventually got a scholarship to play defensive line. Got hurt in a motorcycle accident just when things were going his way and had to quit football.

Not sure about that Roseberry kid from Tyrone. Went to Pitt as a walk-on and only played special teams. That's about it from the '90's. Please don't forget that St. Francis, Robert Morris, Duquesne, etc were NON-SCHOLORSHIP I-AA teams in those days. Again, no comparison to the traditional I-AA teams of that era.

Actually it was a fat tight-end from Iowa that fell on my leg that popped my PCL. Played on it the rest of the season, 20-25 snaps a game, went through Spring ball and several surgeries before the Dr.'s (including Dr. Moses from Westmont) all told me i was done.
