OK BLUEBERRY, THE ONLY POINT IM TRYING TO MAKE AND PLEASE YOU CAN CALL ME OUT AS YOU SAY ALL YOU WANT.

I AGREE WITH YOU THAT WESTMONT WAS BETTER THAN JOHNSTOWN THEY HAVE BEEN BETTER THAN THEM THE LAST COUPLE YEARS.

YES WESTY BEAT JOHNSTOWN TWICE THIS PAST SEASON...QUITE HONESTLY THEY COULD HAVE BEATEN THEM 10 TIMES AND STILL IT WOULDNT HAVE MATTERED. YES WESTY WAS DOWN AND SO WAS JOHNSTOWN AND WESTY DID BEAT JTOWN. HOWEVER, JTOWN WAS STILL PLAYING LONGER THAN WESTMONT AND MADE IT INTO INTER-DISTRICT PLAY.

SO THAT JUST PROVES MY POINT HE WOULD HAVE A BETTER SHOT AT JTOWN. FOR AS BAD AS JTOWN IS OR AS BAD AS YOU SAY THEY WERE THEY WERE STILL PLAYING AFTER WESTY. AND WESTY COULD HAVE BEAT THEM 20 TIMES AND IT STILL WOULDNT HAVE MATTERED

SO THATS ALL IM SAYING I JUST STILL FIRMLY BELIEVE HE HAS DONE A TREMENDOUS JOB AT WESTY FOR THE LAST DECADE OR SO. TIME TO MOVE ON HE CANT GO ANY FURTHER. BECAUSE CHANCES OF ANOTHER GROUP LIKE HE HAD WHEN THEY WERE UNDEFEATED DOESNT APPEAR TO BE IN THE CARDS AT LEAST NOT IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS.

players from the jtown team have been told that it is very likely that the 9th grade assistant coach could be next years head coach. He has practiced more with the players, such as weatherly, and gotten more out of them. But there are also rumors of westmonts assistant coach becoming the next coach. however this is all hear say. i guess we'll just have to wait and see. but good point BIG

like i said before AA is much more competitive than AAA in D6 and States...if you were to put johnstown in AA D6 they would not make it to the finals...if they were to go into states as a AA school they would get killed because of the better competition in AA

Well I guess I will argue for the sake of keeping this topic going. Steel-High, Central Cambria, Somerset, Huntingdon. These are the last 4 teams Johnstown played this year. Canevin, McCort, Tyrone, Central. Here are some AA teams. Colonel, I would disagree that AA is MUCH more competitive, in fact, I would say Johnstown would have had a better chance winning the district (McCort AA vs CC AAA) and one or more interdistrict games if they were AA. (Steelton vs Monessen or Canevin) Also remember that AA gets three teams into interdistrict play while AAA only gets two. I will arguement that it is easier to win at the AAA level too. Beaver Falls, Quips, North Catholic, Monessen ... Blackhawk, Hopewell, Salem, Char Valley - not sure that AA is MUCH more competitive, AA might be a little better. Who are the favorites in D6 AA next year? What about AAA?
My point ... this is a tough decision for Hilto. My advice for him if he wants to coach at states - start a charter school and hope he can recruit better than the rest.

I would have to say that the early favorites in AAA look to be Johnstown, Central, Huntingdon, and Tyrone. In AA im not so sure, CC should be up there and maybe Westmont and Heights because isnt McCort A next year?

the reason AA gets three teams from D6 is because there are 18 schools, while AAA has only 9.

I'm hoping that JHS makes a decision alot quicker than Windber, but who knows.. I understand that the Trojans' new coach will be hired by May.
