With your frequent JHS posts, I always thought you were "in the know" in JHS circles. I am little surprised you didn't break this story on Monday. According to some of the players, that is when he resigned.

Wow! That's a slight shock to see. I thought that Coach Fuschino would be there for at least a few more years. Maybe he has the alma mater on his mind, though I do know better. He was a good coach. He'll be back on some staff soon.
So, will the Trojans hire a proven coach? a young gun? a fatherly figure? a native son?? I know one thing, JHS BBall needs a super coach because that's how it should be at that school. Coach Arcurio and his staff brought the Trojan Pride and Tradition back for the football team and, more importantly, the school and community. Can the next Head man do that for those at the DOC? My money says, yep!

Based on what? You don't know who the new coach is. That's not a good bet. Don't ever go to Atlantic City.

I talked to him Thursday. He resigned because he didn't feel he could continue to put in the time that is needed to run a good program. He also said that this was a good time because they should be good next year with Weatherly back, and the eigth graders are very good. He thought by leaving now better coaches would apply for the position. If you know him you know he is sincere and really cares about the kids at Johnstown.
(He said he is not interested and never applied at Windber. If he did have time to coach, it would be at Johnstown.)

My advice to you, Finch, is..
#1. Don't name yourself after a hoax
#2. Please don't tell me where to go or not to go-- anyway, I'm a Vegas guy. AC's for old men.
#3. Don't bet against me-- I card count, MIT-style. I have a hunch as far as the short list of super candidates for the JHS gig. So, then, whatever coach earns the job would be a blessing for the program (like John was, mostly) and, hopefully, bring back that strong sense of history and tradition for the Trojans. BM and WH better watch out in Section 2. Surprises will be awaiting them come December, or earlier.

As opposed to a television show on "E" (or is it a lunchtime staple for those chilly winter afternoons)? :?

Carlton Haselrig's gonna be cagefighting at the Tropicana in two weeks and he's only 42.

To get us back on topic (and prove your prognosticating prowess), please elaborate.

Dokenball, it depends on what you mean by "in the know." I have a few friends in a few different programs at the school and that is how I get my info.

That's what I figured, I was just surprised you were late in this one.
