D6 A Boys Playoff Bracket *Official*
Comparing the two Bishop Carroll teams of the past two seasons, I do feel that they may have been more well rounded last year. The Huskies are still tough, but it hurts not having a big presence like Marcus Lee in the middle.
Here is a look at the bracket...Along with my projections
WPIAL #1 Monessen (I think Monessen wins it all - played a ridiculously hard schedule for a class A team)
D9 #4 Venango Catholic (lose to Cameron County, then lose to Clarion-Limestone in consolation)
D6 #2 Saint Joe's (Beat Portage, gets beat soundly by BC)
D5 #3 Conemaugh Township ( think CT loses to Shanksville, beats McConnellsburg in consolation)
D9 #2 Cameron County ( i think they lose to ECC in championship)
D6 #3 Portage (I think St. Joe's upsets them, but the Stangs beat Saltsburg)
D10 #1 Farrell ( Expect the Steelers to win D10)
D7 #4 Eden Christian (Lose to Jeannette; receives 4th place when Monessen beats Jeannette)
D6 #1 Bishop Carroll (I'm assuming BC handles business)
D9 #3 Clarion Limestone (I think they lost to ECC; win consolation)
WPIAL #2 Jeannette (I'm guessing they beat Eden Christian; lose to Monessen)
D10 #2 Kennedy Catholic (I think Farrell wins, but KC has a 6'8" kid from Africa that was just offered by Pitt FWIW)
D5 #2 Shanksville (I think Southern Fulton wins D5; D5 Champ is also in the Eastern bracket FYI)
WPIAL #3 Vincentian (I think they lost to Monessen, and Monessen wins A)
D9 #1 Elk County Catholic ( I think they beat Clarion-Limestone and then Cameron County to win D9)
WPIAL #5 North Catholic (NC comes through the losers bracket over Sewickley, Cal, and Cornell)

Most of the names are correct, the seeding will play out the next two nights. The WPIAL and D10 semi's are tonight, D9, D5, D6 are tomorrow.
First glance
Farrell is likely my favorite, Monessen is a close 2nd favorite, Kennedy Catholic has the best player Carroll may only be the 6th or 7th best team and will get a tough draw with either Farrell or Kennedy in the second round.

Sewickley lost to North Catholic last night in the consolation round, eliminating them. They had been undefeated before losing two straight to end their season.

I wasn't aware the playbacks started last night. Thanks.

Looks about right to me Crimson. Venango would be a tricky early draw for Monesson in that they have a 6'11" center who could cause problems getting shots around the rim. I know Monesson is good and would be favored but that might be a tough opener.
I was at the BC/BG game last night and the District 6 A playoffs are over. The next 2 games are a mere formality. I've seen Martinazzi probably 20 times over the past 4 years and last night was the best I've ever seen him. What a terrific player. Any argument about the best player in this area begins and ends with him. McCloskey from BG usually does a decent job of holding him down but he played last night with 15 stitches in the bottom of his foot (my understanding is BG wasn't even sure he was going to be able to play until he warmed up) due to an accident at home over the weekend and was obviously hampered. BG had to put a sophomore on Martinazzi much of the second half and that is just a mis-match at this time. BC basically cleared out a side of the floor and had him create the offense and when he shooting like he did last night there isn't much you can do.
I'll be interested to see how far BC can go in the playoffs (they also could possibly draw Venango if they win the D-9 consy game) and what happens going forward because they obviously aren't going to be as talented in the years to come after losing Lee last year and Martinazzi/Lucas this year. Not to mention the rumors about Cosie possibly resigning which seemed to be the prevailing wisdom in the hallway at halftime last night.

I saw on the news a 6'11" kid during their highlights. Didn't look like he moved very well. But for a smaller BC team that would be hard to handle. Would have to deny the post and pressure their guards.
