If I were Johnstown/Richland/Forest Hills/Westmont, I'd think twice against voting against McCort. You're not going to lose players to Guilfoyle or Carroll, but McCort won't just tuck its tail between its legs and go away.

Guilfoyle won't be affected. They can still draw from Altoona, Hollidaysburg, Tyrone, etc.

Bishop Carroll...god bless'em. Ebensburg football is sad right now. Without a conference, the future looks bleak.

Sometimes not being in a conference is a good thing it allows you more flexibility. Look at wrestling McCort has a tough schedule, they could fill the LHAC duals with more tournaments or duals against other conferences or even teams that are left out of the LHAC.

In football, You still have to play ten games so if the LHAC boots three there will be holes in schedules.

I do agree, if they're ousted it would be open season and I think you see an influx of local talent headed to McCort.

The WPIAL has a much better model in classifications in sports.

Why would kids leave their home school to go to mccort if they are kicked out? You're not suggesting they would start recruiting players do you?

Who would the public school get to fill the empty spots on their football schedule? Maybe after seeing the joke that Huntingdon played from Baltimore, they want to pick up points with some easy wins and will look to Maryland.

It's just going to be Bishop Carroll out and Chestnut Ridge in.  It won't take place for 2 years. They may shake up the sections, but not for now.

i hear what you are saying but if it was that simple , why was no decision reached, looks like it is more the BC in the conversation.

I was told from someone from BG that them and McCort were on board with voting out BC and that was the expected decision supposed to be reached today.  
So Ridge would be 12, not 10.

So what happens when Ridge starts winning over other teams that counted on BC as an easy win? How long will that LHAC/Ridge romance last when playing them and losing means not making playoffs? Or what happens if the struggling Central Cambria football program (whose ONLY win this year was by a 3-point margin to the BC team) is unable to field a team? Guess they'll be voted out too.
