Saw that he had 20 Rebounds last night so either there was some long rebounds all night or he was in the key for a change Ha Ha

North Star girls travel to Portage tonight. Heading there now. Should be a great WestPac matchup!

by heart or nothing
As a BG fan I saw a different game tonight. When BG has to call the first time out against a weak team there is something different going on. BG was frustrated, force to keep starters late into the game when they should have been sitting at half time. Hey we are strong enough to get through anything but they ran into a different look tonight and they struggled and thank goodness the other team had trouble making shots fall. They won 47-21 but when playing a weak team it should have never been that close. I think Benzel scored 25 points playing late into the fourth period. BG-47 Richland - 21

It's just like Kentucky struggling some early, after they send their starting 5 and 6th man to the pro's year after year. It's going to take BG a few games for all the new recruits to gel together.

So true Portagepride, so true. Benzel only BG girl doing anything and she takes most of the shots. All the other kids scoring are recruits. Audley, Lewis, Lewis and Lee. Alot of talent on that 12 person roster, now you have to bring them together. Not a problem most other schools have to deal with. Really tough to have that problem. ;)

Does Juniata Valley have the same problem this year D6 with all of their recruits? I can see by their roster on MaxPreps that they have a lot of seniors this year that never played for them in prior years. How many AAU players transferred in during the past 18 months?

It seems that your recruits have gelled early. That was a nice win against PV on Monday night.

Saw that, while BM lost to PC by 2, BM was actually ahead by 6 or so at End of 3rd. BM will be FH's toughest foe in the young season. I heard that FH's Donoughe put on his "straight jacket", ...I mean, shoulder brace, and practiced the last 2 nights. He "might" try to play tonight. The young man has heart and desire, even w/ 1 bad wing. If FH plays sloppy and erratic, like they did at times in all 3 of their wins, BM could run away w/ this one.

Wow. If I was McGough, I'd have Donoughe try to play a couple minutes toward the end of the JV game, just to see how it would hold up to live play before throwing him out there in the big game. If he were to go down in the late game, it would disrupt the flow if any, for the rest of the team. I was wondering about other schools: FH has seen a lot more serious shoulder injuries than you ever used to see, in the past 2-3 years. How about yours? Any questions about hitting/ tackling methods, conditioning changes, equipment changes, or ?? that would be leading to the apparent rise in shoulder injuries? FH has had at least 4 or 5. This probably should have been addressed on the Football forum, forgive.
