BG wouldn't win WPIAL AAA or AAAA.

They would be top 3 in AAA and top 10 in AAAA. Take out private schools and they are better yet. Point is they would not/ could not be that good if they had to adhere to the same rules public schools did... just saying. Don't get but hurt over it!Crimson's Ghost wrote:BG wouldn't win WPIAL AAA or AAAA.

I'm just saying Aliquippa and Thomas Jefferson are better than Guilfoyle, that's not really being "but" hurt.

I'm sorry you are "butt" hurt when anyone attacks the flawed system that favors private schools. BG is still worthy of being in the mix with those teams. Like I said "competitive". I apologize to the grammar police who avoids the real debate.

I'm not avoiding much of anything, what's the original point you attacked me on? That Johnstown typically underachieves with the best individual talent in the league? I don't mind sticking by that sentiment. Those 2010-2011 teams were good and fun to watch. But other than that, they never seem to put it together for being the biggest school in the conference.

No i agree they do tend to under achieve. I was referring to you criticising AAA and AAAA schools for having a problem with teams like bg beating them. It's clearly a no win for the bigger schools playing within the rules that the private schools don't have to abide by. That's all I'm saying.Crimson's Ghost wrote:I'm not avoiding much of anything, what's the original point you attacked me on? You have to give some credit they made strides last year winning districts knocking off 1&2 seeds Clearfield and Somerset at least give me that much..Crimson's Ghost wrote:I'm not avoiding much of anything, what's the original point you attacked me on? I'll agree, Clearfield has been a nemesis for them for years. It was good for them to finally knock them off in a playoff game at their place.
I guess I just hear all the glory stories from Johnstown High athletics in it's heyday, and look at where it is and has been for years. I know many of their older alums aren't exactly happy that 1, they are in the LHAC, and 2. they don't dominate it. I guess the days of the WPIAL are done, but I know they have a hard time coming to terms that the old Johnstown High powerhouse that used to compete for WPIAL titles is stuck battling small schools like McCort and Westmont.
I look at the Johnstown athletic program, and I really still feel they are capable of much more than they produce at the end of the day. Just my thought. I would like to see Johnstown accomplish what they are capable of accomplishing.
