Why does every thread need to turn into a private vs public discussion and not a football discussion? Just sayin'

Because people aren't happy unless they are complaining.

CCDevil2012...because it's the HUGE elephant in the room in basically every high school sport...especially basketball...public schools play with the cards they are dealt, private schools get to pick their cards...I'll play poker anytime you want, if I get to pick my cards and you play with what your dealt...just saying...while I'm picking my cards from the deck, I look you in the eye and tell you it's for religious reasons... ;) ;) :)) :))

As someone has said, what is stopping kids from going to other schools anyways? I have heard of parents renting apartments in other school districts just so their kids can go to another school because it's cheaper than paying the tuition. At the end of the day, it's an excuse. It's not going to change by discussing it on a forum. BG was a losing team 5-6 years ago and not one word was said about them recruiting, now all of a sudden it's "an elephant in the room". You mean that kids transferred into a school that went 1-9 to play football??? Johnstown will lose to BG for no reason other than they are less disciplined and out coached. Clairton, a public school, won 66 games in a row. But no one accused them of recruiting. But I guarantee there were kids who transferred there for whatever reason without question. Just let it go. It's highschool athletics. I'd rather sit here and argue blown calls , what ifs, and would haves than public v private.

I don't mind public vs private in the regular season...I just think they need their own playoff system...let's ask Coach Gouse and numerous other public school coaches what they think...

Do we really need to ask Coach Gouse what he thinks? Haha

The public Private debate is only relevant because no one in the area has the guys to score on BG let alone beat them. The BG kids have all come up through the catholic school system and the argument is not valid in this particular case

No...but you get the point...the only people that think it's not a big deal are the private school alumni and current players...why cater to the minority? Make them have their own playoff system...it's that simple

I am neither an alumni or a fan, it's just beating a dead horse. It's not going to change because of us discussing it on a forum. That's all.
