How "disgusting society has become"? Society is governed by rules. One rule, be it private or public, is the "no transferring for athletic reasons" rule in the PIAA. What prompts kids to transfer? Being approached by one school to encourage a student to leave his present school and move to another? Especially if there is a benefit for the kid to transfer, whether it is on the elementary level or higher. BM got caught. And they must pay the piper.

Our society gets off on the misfortune of others. Our society likes failure, it's a jealousy. Instead of working hard we will cry and complain and try to get things our way. 
Bishop McCort has good wrestlers and those wrestlers work their tails off in and out of the season. A lot of them all go to Young Guns and they wrestle a majority of the year. Most of them are all very good students with GPAs over 3.5. In the classroom or in the mat room if you're surrounded by like minded individuals you're likely to be more successful. Regardless of how talented you are you still have to work.
Just like football those kids lift all the time, if they aren't in another sport they lift and they get better. You can say they recruit or do whatever but at the end of the day it doesn't matter how much talent there is if it the student athlete doesn't do the work that it takes to succeed.
Successful private schools don't have to recruit because kids and parents want their kids to be a part of that. Dig deeper and look at the amount of college scholarship money that those kids get in comparison to public schools it's astronomically different. So parents are wrong for trying to get their kids to have a better life and not be burdened with a ton of financial debt.

You get a good Coach and a true strength and conditioning program with one of the best S&C coaches in the area and it is going to benefit the program. Hiring Basile and now bringing in Tom Smith there is excitement around the program.

Excitement = more transfers from Johnstown, Ferndale, Conemaugh Valley, and Richland.  All the best Westmont athletes already go there.

Transfers are how private schools survive with the addition of parochial kids and exchange students. That doesn't mean they were recruited. Most of the Westmont kids at McCort that are good athletes were all part of the parochial school system.

Maybe only because Catholic colleges offer discounts to these students. No other reason why. It's not like these kids are taking more difficult classes, I know for a fact that BC doesn't offer several classes that Central Cambria does because they don't have the equipment. And how much sense does it make to spend $6000 per year, $24,000 per high school career to avoid "not be burdened with a ton of financial debt". You can't plead that these kids don't get scholarships and they all pay and then turn around and make that statement. And so St. Francis knocks of say 25% of their tuition, it's still over $30k per year. Unless the kids grow up in the parochial system, I would gander that 9/10 transfers are athletes.

Would this years 3 best wrestlers at McCort have gone to McCort the last few years if they wouldn't have had the co-op with Westmont? The answer is probably NO. Can you imagine them NOT wrestling? They would have stayed at a public school where they could have wrestled. Soooo...I bet they would have stayed at their home school. So much for transferring for athletics.

I don't consider a kid that started at McCort in 9th grade a transfer.   The ones that come in after are transfers in my mind.

Most people don't consider going from a middle school to a high school transfer.  When some of my classmates after 8th grade went to Westmont instead of McCort, it wasn't really a transfer.  They just started high school somewhere else.

that's part of it, but society also hates a double-standard, and rules being unequally applied. Private and charter schools cherry-pick kids and offer incentives for them to attend. There are ways to level the playing field, and until that happens there will be a large contingent who dislike the privates/charters on principle.
