Giro D'Italia Who do you like????
Giro D'Italia Who do you like????
Giro D'Italia starts May 10. Who do you like? Kloden of Astana is riding very very well early in the season. Fellow Astana riders Alberto Contador, Tour de France winner, and USA's Levi Leipheimer Defending champ Danilo Di Luca is riding for a new team LPRwhich I think will hurt his chance to repeat. I am going with the ole man Gilberto Simoni riding in his last grand tour.

Farmer aren't you up a wee bit late when you have milking in the morning.
Wow, Christian Vande Velde of Slipstream Chipotle is the first USA rider to wear the pink leaders jersey since Andy Hampsten won this classic 20 years ago. Todays race was a team time trail over a 23km course in Palermo. Tomorrows stage is a 207 km race from Cefalu to Agrigento on the island of Sicilia. Look for a pack finish with one of the sprint team riders taking the stage. David Millar maybe, maybe not.

I'm starting to think that Farmer must have emigrated from over there. Some of the spelling of names and towns is identical to Farmer's special way of putting things.

From what I heard, one of the riders went to get onto his bike at the beginning of the race an accidentally kicked his seat off the bike. He than sat down on that little post that holds the seat on. YEE-OWWWW!!!! That's gotta hurt.

Riccardo Riccò riding for Saunier Duvall takes todays stage. I may have to rethink my thoughts on Danilo Di Luca and the LPR Brakes team. DiLuca took second place in the stage thanks to his teammates supporting him. They looked very strong. Franco Pellizotti riding for Liquigas is now wearing the maglia rosa. What Pellizotti rides is made in Bedford.
Stage three is the last day on the island of Sicialia. 221km ride from Catania to Milazzo. Features riding around an active volcano, Mout Etna. Sprinters day. Very flat circuit. Going to predict David Millar again. Maybe I will be right this time.
Ciao!
