How Wisconsin Beats Penn State:
They're at home, which is always an advantage. The Wisconsin fans are very good, and the atmosphere will be a lot of pressure for PSU, who is used to being on the other end of that. The Wisconsin QB is erratic and has tendency to really hurt his team. Wisconsin TE Travis Beckham is probably the most overrated TE in the nation. If you've seen this kid throw a decent block, you've seen 1 more decent block from him than anyone else has seen. Wisconsin needs to pound the ball between the tackles all night and wear down the PSU front with their gigantic line. The middle of the PSU defense *might* be a tad overrated. They've been giving some yardage up in the middle. Defensively, Wisconsin has got to be on their toes all night. I'm not sure the LBs can stop Royster. They may have a hard time with Penn State, speed-wise.

How Penn State Beats Wisconsin:
Spreading the ball around. Doing what they are doing. Penn Satte is clearly the better team, clearly the faster team, clearly way more balanced. Defensively, stop PJ Hill and this game is over. It really is this simple. They are extremely one-dimensional and were extremely overrated, per usual.

Well, Penn State went on the road into the toughest atmosphere of the year so far and completely demoralized Wisconsin. People who have brains in their heads know how bad Wisconsin really is, and how overrated they've been for years. There is no team in college football, currently, who gets more undeserved attention than those bums in Madison. They make very bad coaching decisions and their players are NEVER as good as advertised. Wisconsin makes me absolutely sick. And I'm tired of them making the whole conference look bad.

Why am I the only person who ranks teams in the preseason (obviously my rankings don't mean 'crap') that knew that Penn State belonged in the top 10. I actually had to fight with the owner of the website I write for over their preseason rankings, which did NOT include Penn State. I finally beat him over the head so bad that he made them 24th. Well, buddy, next time do some freakin' objective research.

What I don't think ppl realize is how deep this team really, truly is. Next year, they lose all 3 receivers and both starting corners and safeties. I GUARANTEE YOU that in the next preseason rankings, from all of those morons, they'll say that Penn State won't finish in the top 3 of the B10 because of the personnel losses.

First of all, losing Scirrotto and starting Astorino is about as even of a trade-off as you can get. Drew Astorino has been playing out of his mind. AJ Wallace is probably better than both Sargent AND Davis. He's not playing as much because he's a little banged up. You lose Dan "The King" Lawlor at FB, and Tom Golarz takes over. In tonight's game, Golarz crushed somebody and is a very aggressive, energetic player. There's no step backwards there. You lose Sales at LB and tonight we saw both Stupar and Mauti BOTH destroyed people when they got in. Stupar had two huge hits on special teams. BOTH of them are Freshmen. You get Sean Lee back next season as well. Aaron Maybin has 9 sacks and Lord knows how many forced fumbles: Sophomore. Evans comes back. Clark comes back. Both RBs. You lose the WRs and you have a Brackett kid who has played very well, Powell has played great, The Zuggernaut will also be unleashed from his cage. Both TE's return. This is a very, very deep team and young team that should contend for the conference for years to come.

As for Michigan... Its a home game, and I cant wait to see how crazy that crowd is.

Ohio State did not even score a TD today. Wells has been back for two weeks and has added NOTHING to this slow, unexplosive offense. Pryor threw for 95 measly yards today.

So far on the road, PSU has NOT closed the playbook. They have played their game like they were home games and it has gotten them 3 road wins. They are without question the most talented team in the conference and the biggest obstacle for PSU is themselves.

I have a very inside source that has said that the only reason the starters on the o-line are playing this year is because they are more experienced. The players under them are just as good and talented.

TAE, do you think they could actually hang around in the National Championship?

They are a heck of a lot faster than Ohio State is. On both sides of the ball. And, to this point, they've played in a way that's not typical to PSU's style in big games. Emphasis on "to this point". I'd like to see how the coaching staff prepares and coaches in game when they get into a tough situation. They've only been there once this year, but that was very early in the game vs. Illinois. I hope they never face it and continue to win 48-7 from here on out, but the challenge has to be coming at some point. If they keep up what they've done the first 7 for the last 6, they could very well be 13-0.

I know I'm not TAE, but the balance of this team will keep them in any game they play. Will the be perfect? We will find out but I do not see how a team could run Penn State out of the building just for the fact that they are so well balanced.

USC is pretty well balanced, too. I saw them get run out of the building. Balance is a great thing, but does not guarantee 13-0. PSU has played great this season against mediocre teams. If OSU is slow, as ham says, then that win shouldn't count for much either. I'll take two 1 loss teams from the SEC and Big 12 over an undefeated PSU. Sorry guys. Have a Big 10 Championship and schedule a ranked team OOC if your conference is going to be pathetic.
