Will Willie Parker play this week?

ham, I know you are a big Steelers fan, so maybe you can help me out. From what I gather, he stepped in a hole and now may not play this week? Got him in a few fantasy leagues and can't decide whether to start him or not. Do you guys think he will play? I know the Steelers will win easily this week, so you probably don't care if he does play, but help a fellow BleacherCoach out and let me know what you think.

Nevermind. Just found out he's not playing like 2 minutes later. Does anyone else play Fantasy Football?

I don't know. If everything I know about Tomlin and the way he's handling his players this year vs. last year when it comes to injury, he's probably gonna be more on the cautious side (the exception that proves the rule would be Roethlisberger). He's been conservative, from the time that camp started this year up till now. They're 4-1 and they beat a quality Jacksonville team without Parker, Keisel, Hampton and co., I think they'll sit Parker vs. the Bengals to rest him and make sure he's finally 100%.

What the hell are they doing on a field where there could be divots in it? This isn't highschool. This is the freaking NFL and the Pittsburgh Steelers. They should have been inside on the field turf, since that's what Cinci's field is this week. That, to me, is the mind boggling part.

Moral of the story. Sit Parker. IMO

I do play fantasy football. I'm doing ok in TAE's league. 4-2. I have Clinton Portis and Frank Gore at RB. Eli and Plaxico at QB and WR. and a few other players who have done well for me this year. I'm not really into it, but it's something to do the 20 mins before NFL games kick off on Sunday.

I didn't know TAE had a league. I am disappointed I wasn't invited. Maybe next year. I'm more into Fantasy Baseball. It gives me a nice paycheck to spend during the school year. I was really happy to get Willie so late in drafts this year and then this injury has been killing me. It makes sense to sit him this week. Hopefully, he'll be back next week. I have Mewelde in a few leagues, too, so it's not the end of the world.

Ah, the keeper league. I have never done one of those. I would love to get in one, though. I do mine through SportingNews. How 'bout you, S Cube?

I'm on yahoo but they don't have a keeper league. We'll have to find a good site for a league. Does football have keeper leagues? I've never heard of anyone being in one.

Yes, they do. SportingNews offers keepers for both Football and Baseball.

I've extended an invite to anyone on BC in the past, but this year we had 12 guys already. I didn't even want 12, because I think it is too many, but its okay. I'd rather play with 1o or 8. Deliverance, you're in next year if you'd like. Try to remember to remind me.
