Vets Day

Post by southpaw »

A big thank you to all vets on this board and everywhere else. Rural America has always carried to burden in combat for America and that tradition is still alive and well. From Sargent York to Audie Murphy the rural "rednecks" have been on the frontlines from day 1 in this country! Here's to you!

That said will rural America's youth continue to serve under a Command In Chief that has shown utter contempt for the military that would make Bill Clinton blush. Here's my quote "You voted for him, now take a bullet for him". Send those recruiters to the inner city schools, they can fight for our new Dear Leader. I know this might get some of you upset but it galls me to not even see BHO give any sort of Veterans Day speech other than a brief appearance at Soldier" Field. It seemed almost an after thought. So much for showing support to our soldiers!

also a big thanks to all vets.

as for your recruiting statement.
Wow. Sounds like you want to start up another Buffalo Soldier regiment.
Bitterness is in the air.

It just seems that this guys attitude since winning just plain stinks. He already has backpedaled on everything he campaigned on and now on Vets day instead of taking some time to give reassure the military that he stands behind them he does virtually nothing but pays lib service and make a brief appearance. He then hurries back to hunker down with the "transition" team to see how much money they can blackmail out of Bush to save the UMW workers retirement accounts and health care.

The American Auto Industry is about to become as irrelevant as US Steel. The one common denominator is Union Greed. Maybe Bush will grow a set for once and tell Obama you can do what you want on your watch but I'm not going to be a part of your agenda.

Figures I criticize BHO and I get called a racist. Guess there are no minorities in Rural America that fight for our country just as their are no whites in the inner city. Guess you just coined a new term Geographical Racism. The ACLU would like that!

it was an attempt at intelligent humor. obviously a poor attempt. You are taking yourself pretty seriously.

These kids (Black/ White/ Indian, whatever.....) are already at a disadvantage in many cases.
Would it be ethical to entice them to fight for our country as a way out of a troubled life. Not taking a side on this one, just an interesting point to ponder.
