Lucas Runk

Post by youngbuck »

I have seen alot of high school games this year and this kid is the best I have seen all year and not to mention only a sophmore. He did a little of everything tonight. Played running back, pounded it inside and outran defenders on sweep plays. Played qb and scrambled, made clean handoffs with good fakes and threw the ball very well. Punted a perfect punt downed in side of the five yard line from the shotgun, not normal punt depth. Played solid as a safey with a big interception and solid tackling and pass coverage. I was extremely impressed. Seemed to interact well with his teammates as well.

Sure, he is surrounded by some good talent. But he is very good and young.

I would compare him to Nate Crookshank, Randy McCavish or Tim Baumgardner as far as overall impact on the game. Definitely going to have to catch some Scarlett Dragon ball next two years.

You have obviously not been to a lot of games if you consider this kid the best you have seen all year.

Runk has taken over games single handedly. He throws, runs and catches touchdowns. HE MAKES PLAYS. what else do you want??

If Runk is as good as written, especially being compared to Crookshank, then Central's got themselves a stretch of D6 titles in their future. Central Cambria over-achieved this year, and it caught up to them against a surprisingly good Dragon team.

whoa one of the best sophomores in PA??, thats a bit to far. You obviously haven't heard of Matt Johnson 6'2 200lb quarterback out of Bishop McDevitt already hearing from Michigan State, Penn State, North Carolina and Virginia Tech....OR Trey Hall a 5'10 185lb running back from New Brighton who reportedly already has offers from Akron and Syracuse.I can keep goin all day too if you want me too...Montay Green--Pitt,WVU,Temple and Boston College recruit....Jameel Poteat--Kentucky,WVU,Pitt,Bowling Green....Aaron Frye--NC State,Akron,Boston College,Michigan State and Temple....Darius Patton--Michigan State,Pitt,WVU and Maryland...do you homework before you say hes one of the best....ya hes good but he has a looooong way to go

814's finest has a compelling point. watch out for garrett lucas the next few years. he has a lot of upside and will be a good fit at a major D1 school
