Allen Iverson in the NFL
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdo ... nfl,126977
Watch the video of Iverson playing high school football, and read the article. Iverson playing in the NFL? I could definitely see him being comparable, if not better than Micheal Vick before he was dog fighting. Even if he did play with the Lions do you think it would improve their chances of winning a couple games? I definitely say yes.

Re: Allen Iverson in the NFL
Mike Vick 6-0; 215.
Allen Iverson 5-10; 165 lbs.
Iverson would get TOASTED in the NFL. Period. End of discussion.

Re: Allen Iverson in the NFL
Iverson isn't even that great of a basketball player anymore. How could he be an NFL quarterback? That's a ridiculous article.

Allen Iverson is 6 foot, not 5'10.
Whos to say he couldnt put on a couple pounds and hit the weights? He could have the same body stature of Vick.

He's 33 and hasn't played football in 15 years. Best of luck trying that.

Re: Allen Iverson in the NFL
haha good point. What if he never took up the NBA lifestyle and decided to take the football route though. Think we could have seen a hall of famer?

Yeah. Anybody, with natural weightlifting and conditioning can put on 50 lbs of muscle just like that...
What's worse than people that write articles like that? People who read them and continually buy into them.

Re: Allen Iverson in the NFL
As I think about this article, I really think I could become a sports writer. People actually sit around and think about this type of thing. nLions, it's a funny topic and I am glad you brought it to this board. It shows how little knowledge some sports writers have. It makes me wanna puke.

Re: Allen Iverson in the NFL
Makes you think though, dont it? Its kind of almost the same as saying Lebron would be terrible in the NFL, when in fact he would most likely be comparable to Terrelle Owens.
