This is ridiculous. The coach will not resign in the middle of the season. He was just hired. That said, I am not sure how much experience that Westy's new coach has...I don't think he has much at all. I'm sure he's getting more than he bargained for and may be in a little over his head, but he needs to be given a fair opportunity. He is also replacing a coach who was very popular with the players and parents and who averaged approximately 20 wins per season over the past decade, a coach who deserves to be in the Westmont Athletic Hall of Fame when he retires.

I know that Westy is struggling out of the gate this year, but that is to be expected with a new coach, a new system, and with Westy playing some difficult games early in the season.

Give the man an opportunity.

From what I know of him he will not leave the program, I believe he will coach out the season. He knew what he was in for so I do not think he is getting any surprises. Heck were a handful of games into the season, who knows what is going to happen.

After attending all of Westmont's games I agree that the new coach might be in over his head. They have some talented players on the team but no one looks like they are on the same page. Its tough when a parent coachers his son. I think that there are some players who should get more playing time. I know that when Roman coached you never saw anyone dogging it on defense or take bad shots or they were out of the game warming the bench. Hopefully it will improve.

I was there tonight and have to take my hat off to the hilltoppers and coach. He had a good gameplan, or at least what he did worked for 3 quarters of the game. The technical foul ended up doing in the hilltoppers, as we hit a foul shot, and got the ball back. Back to back 3 point plays led up too the tech. Other than that, they gave us all we could handle. granted our foul shooting wasnt great, if we could have hit 50 percent it would have been different. I dont know what we shot but it was miserable. Hats off to that Westmont team. I gaurantee a better game out of the trojans at our house, but tonight they proved they can play with anyone. I think they will be dangerous down the stretch. I didnt see any other westmont games, but if they play as well as they played against us tonight they will do fine. Too much weatherly in the 2nd and 3rd also. Of course westy did lose, so they will be calling for his head. Thats just plain funny.
