BEST PITCHER IN LHAC

Is this Fees kid from CH really the best pitcher in the LHAC. Where is he going to school? Is he a draft prospect? I hear he will be hitting the low 90's this season. Any truth to that?

Look for Junior AJ Rievel from Westmont to make some noise. I am going out on a limb here, and say that every game he pitches, Westmont will get a win. He will be dominate this year, and will be in the running for top pitcher of District VI his Senior season.

the best, a good possibility. A good pitcher, definitely. He will hit the low 90s and 87 consistently, he has a good catcher to back him up but lets face it the heights D will give him little help. All very young. Individually not counting the team he as what it takes to be the best in the LHAC. I hear he is going to sign with West Virginia? any truth to that?

Fees is definitely the hardest thrower in the LHAC (and maybe in D-6, probably he and Luke Curtis from P-O are right there) but his style (fastball-slider) is better-suited to wooden bat games. I saw him pitch for the Jaysox and he hit 87-88 on several different guns. I seriously doubt he has hit 90, but rather college coaches are telling him he has the ability to grow into a low-90s guy.
Rievel, McKolosky, Carbaugh, George Roberts if he pitches all are tough. And of course Somerset has several kids who are excellent high school pitchers (hit corners, change speeds).

I would be willing to bet alot of money Fee's or nobody in the LHAC will be hitting in the 90's! Not quite sure you guys realize that there aren't that many kids in the state that will be throwing that hard... I agree maybe the mid 70's! And if they do hit it is becuase they are just seeing how hard they can throw and will have no control with it!

I would be willing to bet alot of money Fee's or nobody in the LHAC will be hitting in the 90's! i guess we'll have to wait and see, but 90 ain't that far out of reach. the real question is, has he learned a change-up to complement his outstanding fastball?

In my previous post i meant to say in the 80's not 70's my bad.... But con. hitting 90 with control will not be seen in the LHAC, i mean if that was the case he would have some major league scouts barking up his tree! Just one man's opionion... Roberts was throwing like 89 to 90 in legion 2 summers ago, and now weighs like 190 so maybe he will be too... If his arm healed up from last high school season.. But even that is a stretch!

I have faced him several times over each of the past few years and I've been impressed with his little slide piece more than anything. It comes in looking like a fastball, as it should, and when he locates it on the outside it is a very good strikeout pitch. His fastball is flat and i believe last year he wasnt humming any harder than 84-85. It is possible to gain some velocity but 5-6mph might be a stretch. I think if he developes a good changeup and location he will be a great pitcher instead of a "thrower" as some people view him now. good luck in AAABA Fees!
