what happened to the lowlanders?
what happened to the lowlanders?
dropping 3 in a row? are they tired? injuries? played over their heads early this season? wtf?
Re: what happened to the lowlanders?
I'd have to say tired, they've played the whole year with basically a 6 player rotation and that will get to you. A week off should do them good but they better things back on track in a hurry or they could be looking at an early exit in the postseason
Re: what happened to the lowlanders?
Lowlanders? From someone who said this 10 days ago about the McCort game:
But the bottom line is they won a lot of tight games during that winning streak and now they're losing those tight games. A steal here. A key rebound there. A missed foul shot. That's pretty much the difference between winning and losing every night in the Laurel Highlands.
The Johnstown game and the LHAC title game give them two opportunities at playoff-style basketball then they should get a mini-break before they start district play (assuming more than 8 teams enter in AA, which looks to be the case).
They're definitely losing their legs a little and it's showing (like it always does) in their shooting. Olsavsky's played enough now that they should be able to go with a seven-man rotation.are you kidding me? heights wins no matter where the game is played and with or without link.

Re: what happened to the lowlanders?
what does saying they beat mccort with or without link have to do with them not being the lowlanders?
one good year, in one sport, does not a loser change.

You realize you're talking about 15-, 16- and 17-year-old kids, right?PIAARULES wrote:what does saying they beat mccort with or without link have to do with them not being the lowlanders?

One good year? So last years record 0f 16-5 is bad? Is it so hard to be happy for them? you call them the lowlanders but they won there section and are in the LHAC championship game. They are the first seed in D-6.they still have a record of 17-4 If you think that's low then i don't know anything about sports. Last time i checked 17-4 was a pretty good record.

Re: what happened to the lowlanders?
Say what you want but on Saturday they play in the LHAC Championship at Richland. They played well against J-Town in varsity, but the JV was awful to watch (Johnstown beat the Heights something like 70-23). But back on subject the Championship game will give them a good test for the playoffs. If they win that game I still say they're the favorites to win Districts.
