It has nothing to do with coaches or players, it has to do with the success of McCort.

D6 with all due respect, those days are over. The OMOS/Westy pipeline is history. OMOS used fuel the Westy system for years, and those were Westy's most productive years. If this is what is going to get Westy back, then Westy is in trouble. Plain and simple, the OMOS student athlete is going to McCort.
Oh, would we be using the r word if a coach from Westy used his ties to OMOS to get a OMOS student athlete? Hum.

Re: On the hilltop
but there are WAY less omos students to begin with, so i bet the percentage really is not that much different.

Now I know what all those "Save Westy" signs are all about.

haha. By the way there is no Parochial league anymore for Football. any kids that go to OMOS play under the Bishop McCort banner. Sooo if any kid that wouldve stayed at OMOS and planned to go to Westy probably has already transfered.
I dont remember too often that Westy football benefited from OMOS. Theyre Girls and Boys Basketball teams did.

Has nothing to do with Glennon. Last year was a disappointment to all of us here on the hill...truth be told this year we really didn't expect much. When you look at it, the talent simply isn't there. However, I think that the people in Westmont (except for a very vocal minority) appreciate what Glennon is doing, and are willing to give him time in order to get his program in place (crazy, right?) Look for Westy to be putting some Ws up two years from now...got 3 superstars in that sophomore class along with another couple that will have two years of varsity experience before their senior season. Considering two of their best players, Burnheimer and Duplin are most likely more focused on wrestling than football, I don't forsee Westy losing them to McCort.
