Edge: The Big East's last place team is better than Northwestern, Indiana, Illinois and likely Purdue as well.


Bottom line... There are 3 or 4 Big Ten teams that are worse than all 8 Big East teams.



Every computer ranking, regardless of formula or algorithm, has the Big East ranked higher than the Big Ten. There simply isn't any measure available in which the Big Ten is rated higher than the Big East this year.

Of course, the Big Ten has better attendance than the Big East , and that translates to wins and losses right????????

2002: NONE (hahaha)

2005: NONE (thats 6 years without an OOC away win)
2006: @ Notre Dame L 41-17 (ouch)
2007: @ Temple W 31-0 (WHOO HOO!!!Big win over your rival)

2009: NONE (a shame you didn't play any of that killer OOC slate of Syracuse, Akron, Temple, and Eastern Illinois on the road or you could have won your third game in a decade)

So let's summarize kids... that is 2-5 on the road in OOC play in 10 years with wins over Temple and Syracuse - no wonder you don't want to play Pitt on the road... I understand now!

You Pitty fans catch on to sarcasm really well. See the difference is we can laugh about our failures. Penn State sucked from 2000-2004. They've played a crappy schedule the past few years and yes the conference has been down, but saying all the team has turned it around. Alabama is on the schedule next year. The last few recruiting classes have been superb. They have a chance to win the big 10 for the 3rd time in 5 years and go to their 3rd BCS bowl in 5 years. The majority of Penn State fans are with the team through thick and thin. Pitt fans on the other hand come out of the woodwork during a good year, then disappear for the next 4 to 5. I'm actually not even sure if Pitt fans actually care about Pitt as much anymore as they do about Penn State. They spend more time disgussing them over their own team. It's an obsession
