LHAC Preseason Predictions
Being that the season opens up official 11/20 I'm giving my opinion on how I see the LHAC this preseason.
Section 1
Forest Hills
Cambria Heights
Penn Cambria
Bishop Guilfoyle
Central Cambria
Bishop Carroll
Section 2
Westmont
Bishop McCort
Richland
Johnstown
Somerset
Bedford
Westmont and Forest Hills when it’s all said and done will be playing for the LHAC title. Luke.G will lead Forest Hills like Jordan.M did CC last year, but unlike Jordan he will get his team to the LHAC Championship.
Westmont 54
Forest Hills 48
Reasoning for my selections. Section 1 has the two best players and I think Luke G has a little bit more around him then Vescovi. Section 2 the talent is all very close besides maybe Bedford. Coaching will win out in this section and I give a slight edge to Westmont over Bishop McCort. That’s why I predict Westmont vs. Forest Hills in the LHAC Championship.

I could see that happening, but Johnstown finishing 4th in there section I think they will be better than that.

Re: LHAC Preseason Predictions
I think you could go either way with Richland and Johnstown. I went with Richland above Johnstown just because they have a little bit more experience and I feel they will split during the regular season but Richland will have the better LHAC record. Both teams will have a late start due to football season. Both head coaches are football coaches, so this handicap their team’s progress and a couple early losses will hurt them in the standings towards the end of the season.
This is a choice between an underachieving coach which the game of basketball has passed him by; and between a football coach who is coaching basketball. I'll take the out dated basketball coach over the non basketball coach. Who knows just my opinion. Both teams will be around the .500 mark for their over all record.

the .500... ive never remembered a j-town basketball team with a record even close to that... johnstown will definately be in that championship picture..

Re: LHAC Preseason Predictions
Try 2 years ago I believe they only won 11 games. They year before that the only won 2 games over .500. So it is very possible and these were teams with P.Weatherly on them.lhac warrior wrote:the .500... ive never remembered a j-town basketball team with a record even close to that... johnstown will definately be in that championship picture..

I don't think Johnstown is going to win the LHAC this year, but I do think they have a good chance of winning district 6. There are just a few teams in AAA D6, and out of the 6 or so none of them are any good.

I'll bet a million dollars Johnstown doesn't play Westmont for the championship

Hey Captain, Johnstown and Westmont are in the same section, it is impossible for them to play each other for the championship. When you say stuff like that it makes it very clear you don't have a clue what you are talking about.captain earth wrote:Johnstown will play Westmont for the laurel highlands championship.
Their going to win d6 also.
