In the words of Rod Stewart, "TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT" that Portage will discover that it is not the first, not the second, but the THIRD best PUBLIC school football team in 6A, squarely behind Penns Manor (who played McCort closer than Portage did last year), and Bellwood (who will beat Portage today.)

Nice spelling of bellwood btw. How are you so sure that Portage is going to lose tonight? They have a really great team no one has stopped them yet. Seeing Penns Manor didnt even make it to Semi's last year how do they automatically get boosted up infront of Portage? I have Portage winning by 14.

As I said before on here several times. You can't say Portage will beat Bellwood tonight based on the fact they havent been stopped yet because neither has Bellwood. They both ran right through relatively weak conferences with a few nice wins on the way. Bellwood could just as easily say "no one has stopped us yet" as well. Its going to be a great football game and I would not put any money on this one. I just hope the winner can beat McCort the following week.

I may agree that Portage is the second best public school in D6, but third best tells me that you are really clueless or a hater. First, Penns Manor should thank McCort for allowing them to what you call "make it closer". They called off the dogs in the 3rd quarter while PM played their starters. McCort could have easily scored 70 points. Also Mr WPIAL, Penns Manor and Marion Center played into overtime this year at Penns Manor. These two teams are as even as they get. We will find out who is the best and second best public school in D6A tonight.

Was going to post that Salem pulled the starters, but you beat me to it D6Guru. I said last weekend that the Heritage is terrible, and they certainly didn't do anything to dispel that last night. Had Penns Manor not gotten that big pickup from the hook and ladder, I don't think BM's starters would have given up any points.

By the way, Steelton-Highspire lost last night to Millersburg, 14-13. Winner of D6 gets either Upper Dauphin or Millersburg in two weeks.

Believe me Penns Manor is not better than Portage. I also think Portage beats Bellwood tonight by double figures. Each and every one of us do not know are butts from a hole in the ground about who is going to win. But it is a fun as heck to get to voice your opinion behind hidden identity. yes, agreed--when it is 45-7 mid way through the third quarter, that can hardly be called playing it closer than portage did with mccort last year at 35-0 or 35-6, whichever it was. the heritage was down this year.
