I'll try to post it later. It is a joke anyhow. Of the 24 first teamers 22 were playoff players. So if your team did not fair well, then forget about it. Not too much consideration for the underdog schools. Politics as usual in that one horse town.

Hey, it might not be thorough, fair or online, but at least they got it out by January 24!
Re: T-D All star team
Tell me what post season all star team, highschool, college,or pro that isn't dominated by the players who were on the better teams, record wise. Oh! And the reason probably why it takes the T.D. so long every year to announce "it's team" is that they want all the other all star teams announced before they basically doctor-up their own list so they don't get too much egg on their faces.
Don't know too much about this year's team but from what I do remember from this past year is most of the players that made the most noise performance wise are on the T.D. team.Alot of players get overlooked because they don't get all the yards or pass catches and tackles and that's the way it goes every year.Case in point and 2 examples up this way are the running back from Portage #27.Had something like a 13 yd/att average and was only an honorable mention for the area team. The other was Jeff Meier #33 for FH. Solid blocker and runner and very good on defense.I think Nick Dudukovich ought to buy him lunch every day in the FH cafeteria for the job he did for him blocking this year! Just thankful those 2 guys return for the Rangers
next year.
But all in all, the team appears about 90% correct.

looks like the trib based most of their selections on stats. the trib seems to forget that there are a lot of players that don't play a full game and have a chance to record rediculous numbers. plus, some kids are given a ton more opportunities to make plays than others. the rb's from penn cambria and conemaugh township had a ton of carries compared to the rest of the rb's.
let's be serious though, why even name an area all star team, just print the bishop mccort starting line-ups.

Especially when they listed the No. 2 quarterback in the region in terms of yardage (Vescovi) as honorable mention at running back.D6Guru wrote:looks like the trib based most of their selections on stats.

didn't notice Vescovi, but what were his stats? also, how many pass attempts did he have? i imagine he threw the ball a ton more than most qbs.
