First off, lets look at the good teams from last year. BEA- being the district champions in all may be ok, but they lost how many starters? 8 or 9 i think? MU- district runner-up and 1st seeded in the district, lost 2 starters. Central- very good team last year, im not sure how many starters they lost, but i dont think many. PO- lost 2 or 3? not many as well. Having a couple seniors on the team that can show leadership will be their key to victory.

My predicition: Look for Central and MU to make a run in this one. Maybe even a rematch of the district semi-finals from last year. But dont count PO out of it, and BEA being defending district champions arent out of it either.

Let me know what you guys think?

I don't expect Central to make a run this year. They took a blow when their best player, Saylor, tore his acl in football. He is done for the rest of his senior year.

Mount Union would be the team to beat in my eyes, but Phillipsburg always has talented kids.

Mount Union has Goodling. He throws mid-upper 80's with a sharp slider, locates all pitches well. I saw him 2 years ago as a freshman and he was very impressive then.

Is Curtis still around at Phillipsburg?

SCube,

What's the outlook for the returning D5 Champs this season? Plenty of returning starters from a year ago if I remember correctly.

Yes, I would expect MU to be extremely tough again this season. Plenty of experience returning plus a couple young guys who could make an immediate impact.

Spring cannot get here fast enough.........

Im curious about this Trojan squad.. Who do they have returning to supply the hitting? and I know of Goodling. But what about a second pitcher? Any thoughts?

p.s. I have no intentions on making this forum all about one team.. just curious.. thank you.

All I know of for MU is Goodling, and I don't think they will lose any game he pitches this year.

D6 AA always interests me. There are always 3 or 4 real nice teams and a few others capable of making noise. Is this Somerset's last year in D6 or will they be there for one more year after this? Are they AA or AAA? I have no idea what kind of team they have this year but they always seem to 'reload.'

This is a D6 AA thread so I won't get into Northern Bedford's team, but yes they return some nice players.
