So it's Penns Valley against Cambria Heights in the championship. CH is returning to the title game for the second straight season. Who do you expect to win?

I expect Penns Valley to take this one. It'll be low scoring and a defensive game. PV has a guard that is a 4 year starter and a really good scorer. They may be too much for Heights to handle

one player isn't going to win this game. i agree that it will be low scoring but after watching heights against penn cambria kids decided to step up when penn cambria decided to double and triple team vescovi. if heights can get support from everyone else i believe they can take this one in a low scoring contest

This is by no means a prediction that Heights will win, just an observation:
Montminy (who's a junior, btw) is a great scorer, no doubt, but he's certainly not better than Jordan Miller or Luke Gallaher so Heights has at least seen that kind of player before.
Penns Valley has never seen a 6-8 kid who can swat anything you throw up within 15 feet of the basket.

Well i was referring to two players. One the Guard that has been starting for 4 years and the really good scorer...Montminy i just couldnt think of his name.


better then Miller and Luke Gallagher?(also a Junior) Thatd be impressive. But the way to beat Heights is not double or triple Vescovi. Play him straight up. Dare him to beat you as a scorer not as a passer to the open set shooters.

If you make that decision, he may/will make you pay for it. Vescovi has played in this game before. I would double Vescovi and leave the game up to the rest, the pressure might get to them. Either way could work so neither is wrong. just my opinion.

He may make you pay for it. I.E. 5-8 Jack Schrey guarded 6-8 Ian Vescovi in the LHAC Championship last season and was physical against him and it was quite effective. Penns Valley finds one physical kid to put on him, it will take him out of the game.

Yeah and Bill Dill was technically covering the point gaurd even though he was standing in the paint, and played behind Vescovi when shrey fronted him? Sounds like 1-on-1 to me
