PSU has NEVER lost a football recruit...
It's true...If a recruit picks Pitt (or any other school, but especially Pitt) over PSU here are some of the litany of reasons:
"He just wasn't quite PSU material"
"He couldn't meet our rigorous academic program standards in Parks and Recreation or Hospitality Management"
"He didn't have the grades or SAT/ACT to get into PSU"
"He has character issues"
"We revoked our scholarship offer"
"We never even offered"
"Joe didn't like what he said when he met him, he wants to go straight to the NFL instead of earning his degree"
"He wouldn't have made a good linebacker anyway"
Just talk to any NitWit fan and you'll quickly understand that PSU has never, EVER lost a recruit to another school. They didn't really try hard with Poteat and Chestnut, and they don't really want/need Jarrett anyway. But wait, that TE who had it down to Bucknell and PSU, now THERE'S a gem!
NO WORRIES though, everything is great in Happy Valley, regardless of who they recruit, and who plays QB...Heck, PSU could put one of those cardboard cutouts of JokePa at QB and win 8-9 games with that brutal schedule.

@ Alabama, @ Ohio State, @ Iowa.
Where does Pitt travel to this year? Notre Dame? Utah? Cincinnati? Real tough there, bubs. Don't tell me they play Miami either. They lost to a lowly Big 10 team in Wisconsin last year in the bowl season. So that game obviously should be an easy one for the Panthers to win. With a schedule like this, how will you be able to explain why Pitt doesn't win the Big lEast this year when it doesn't happen?

From some remote island near the North & South Carolina border:

Utah, ND & Miami in the same season!!!!!!!
That's more difficult than UPS' OOC schedule for three years combined

I have to say thank you to me ..." for not being stupid enough to go to Penn State."
Re: PSU has NEVER lost a football recruit...
You have to when nobody else in your conference is even anywhere close to legit.

Legit teams??? Big preTENd murder's row=Indiana, Northwestern, Illini, MichSt
This thread is about PSU never losing a recruit. Go ahead ham55, lets hear about how PSU didn't want Poteat or Chestnut and how they couldn't cut it academically at MIT (ie-Penn State).
After that, explain how the illustrious Big Ten is the only D1 conference in America that accepts unlimited partial and non-qualifiers.

Re: PSU has NEVER lost a football recruit...
Penn State does what Penn State wants to do and they're allowed to do it. Joe Pa runs everything and it is a huge conspiracy. At the end of the day, Penn State is STILL more relevant than Pitt can hope to be. Want evidence of that? Pitt finished 2nd in their conference last year. A BCS conference. Did they play on New Years day? Nope. North Western did. How's that taste? North Western has more of an appeal to bowls than the Pitt Panthers.
Unlike you, I don't care how Penn State gets its players. I just care that they can win and stay out of the news blotter Sunday-Friday.
Keep crying on here. I'm sure the ppl in the NCAA are really going to go after the biggest money maker they have and make them change things.
Living in your delusion of a life must keep things entertaining. It's not even August and you're going PSU crazy. Keep it up, big guy. Joe Pa loves you.

Re: PSU has NEVER lost a football recruit...
Again, not to get off the subject, but because of Big Ten bowl tie-in's, alot of Big Ten Bowl appearances are NOT representative of the regular season records. Our great friend Jeff Sagarin had Northwestern ranked 61st in his final 2009-2010 college football poll. SIX Big East teams were ranked AHEAD of Northwestern in the final poll, including Pitt which was ranked 16th. So bowl appearances is not indicative of how good a team really is.
