Dudukovich compared to the rest

Great season last year and playing well this year, just wondering where the FH junkies would put him compared to the other runnng backs to come through the school.

I am not sure what the rushing record is, but would imagine that another 2000 yard season would put him in the upper tier.

Tier I: Among the best. He is there with Beyer, Mehall, Felix, Donny Meier.

Anyone who says who the best is just offering their opinion. All these guys were fantastic and an argument could be made for any of them.

As Opinionguy has stated many times, It's impossible to compare players of different time periods. The game's different, faster, some teams throw more,etc. Add to that the fact we're talking about running back, a position where your lineman make or break you..and it's not even worth talking about. You can have all the talent in the world, but with no blockers you won't get noticed, and vice-versa.

OG, you say Dudukovich and Mehall are both in the top tier. That means the 2008 Rangers had 2 of the top 5 runningbacks EVER at FH according to you? Could this have anything to do with the talent drop off of the LHAC in recent years?

Nick is having another good season. I anticipated Unger to get way more carries this season (is he hurt?), and the line to struggle a little. Neither has happened. GO RANGERS!

Baumgardner and Mcgough were also very, very good.

Nick Dudukovich stats:
331 carries
2,521 yds rushing
7.6 yds per carry
33 TDS


Scott Mehall stats:
395 carries
3,033 rushing yards
7.6 yards per carry
39 TDS

Scott Mehall was one heck of a running back. But Nick still has 7+ games remaining. I believe in the end he will pass Scott in all of these stats. I think its crazy how right now they both have the exact same yards per carry!

Like I previously said, you can't compare stats. Mehall was on a 4-6 team one of his 3 seasons which had very few other good athletes, and the ones they had got hurt. If he ended up with 39 td's, 25+ were in his senior year where he averaged around 10 ypc. This is a perfect example why you can't compare stats. Dudukovich put all of his stats up in arguably the 2 worst years for LHAC football in a long time where FH was mostly a running team. It's hard to put any of these backs ahead of any others by looking at stats.

I believe TITAN meant Ron Fedore. He'd have a tough time making my top 10, but that goes back to the beginning, in 1967. FH had a bull moose in the backfield named Jerry Bulvin, who also played "D", and went to PSU to play linebacker. His unfortunate timing at being there meant he had to play backup to All-American Dennis Onkotz. He was followed at FH by some guy named Bailey or such. IMHO, in the past 20 years or so, Timmy Baumgardner was tops. He played some QB, and caught lots of passes too. Best "all-around" back @ FH. Nick D. is great, but time will tell if he moves into my top 5.
