McCort vs Carroll Part II

Post by jack daniel »

the d6 A championship battle of the bishops, battle of the lhac, battle of the two best teams in d6 A. should be a dandy saturday night. it was a great game the first time around, a desperate mccort team badly in need of a win went on the road and walked away with a 24-10 win. the biggest question for this game is undoubtedly the health of mccort qb jesse cooper. he was able to play somewhat against portage and made some big plays when they needed, the connection of him to leech has turned into quite the duo. and for carroll we all know what their gonan do give it to woo, give it to kephart they are gonna run it. can the crushers stop the run? can carroll stop the mccort weapons of larue, varga, cooper, and leech? should be a dandy of a game. not to mention the coaching matchup two of the best around salem vs sponsky. i picked them before the season started to win their 5th straight district title cant go against them now.
McCort 24
Carroll 20

Thoughts?

Love or hate Bishop McCort, you have to be somewhat impressed with what this team has done this year. Losing 20 Starters? Insane. The OG doesn't care about recruiting in this aspect...to get back to Mansion after the graduation toll is a feather in the cap of the McCort Coaching Staff.

After watching McCort get blasted by Forest Hills, I never thought they'd be here. Here is the real question...if these other single A schools couldn't get past McCort this year, can they ever? The OG says no.

JD stated the key to this year is Cooper...and he is right on point. No doubt in my mind...the Crushers contain Woo like they did in the regular season. McCort is the more complete team here as long as Cooper plays. Larue and Leech have really turned into game breakers as this season has progressed.

The OG will take the Crushers 26-14.
And the last thing I must tell you...NEVER QUIT!

you couldnt have said it better. no matter how you feel about mccort you gotta give the coaching staff credit loose 20 starters, start 0-2, get destroyed 44-10 in the regular season finale. and yet their now sitting at 8-4 and heading the district title game, for hte 9th time in 10 years which is also an unbelievable feat, regardless of how you feel gotta give salem and the crew credit they can coach

After watching this first dual between these two teams, I think it's going to be a pretty tight game.

Having said that, You Never Want To See The Same Team Twice...

Not taking anything from McCort, but this is the first time in 5 years since the Huskies are heading back to Mansion. I've got to give Craig and his staff credit. Nobody thought they'd get this far including ME!

no one thought that about mccort either! just another thing that makes this an intriguing match up two teams who no one expected to be here!

McCort won't beat Carroll twice. I don't see it happening.

I really think that BM is going to force BC to successfully throw the football to win this game and that is for certain not the strength of this team. I do not expect to see a fullback trap on 3rd and 16 go to the house.

Rumor has it that BC might show it's own version of the wildcat with woo getting the snaps.
