Things that make you go "hmm..."
Things that make you go "hmm..."
Interesting little tidbit from the article on ESPN today.
Pitt fans say attendance doesn't matter? I say nay nay! And so does Steve Pedersen.
"Pederson, who returned to Pitt in 2007 after first serving in the job from 1996-2002, also was concerned about numerous no-shows at Heinz Field. The announced attendance often was far larger than the actual attendance, and the Panthers had few sellouts under Wannstedt. Pitt was 4-2 at home this season, with blowout losses to West Virginia and Miami (31-3)."
Wasn't it Kirk that brought this up earlier and Pitt fans were adamant in denying this?

Ham don't be so Harsh. It doesn't matter look at USC and Miami other urban schools.....oh wait that's right those schools are in football hotbeds with warm weather, chicks, and beaches nevermind. It DOES matter.
1. Crappy Conference
2. Off Campus Stadium
3. No Fan Support.
In my opinion, Wannstadt did really well for what he had to work with. He was a horrible game coach, but as far as selling the university to recruits he did well because there isn't much to sell. He sold kids on the idea that Pitt could get players into the NFL because of his ties. Now they don't have that, so they better hope this new coach is a good salesman and an X and O's guy.

Crimson are you kidding me? Try taking your Pitt glasses off for a second.
1. Big 10. Prestigious Conference. Highly regarded.
2. Fan Support. 107,000 fans at every game.
3. Facilities
4. Atmosphere
5. A schedule that includes Ohio State, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Michigan
6. An undefeated year WILL get you a shot at a National Title game.
Do you really even want to compare?

The first picture made me laugh.
The rest of it was a horrible argument.

It's not the fans, it's the football. They arn't fun to watch, they don't have big plays or close games(for the most part). If they could get big name players then it would peak intrest.
