Urban Meyer resigns from Fla...Heading to Pitt?

Associated Press - Rumor has it Urban Meyer has resigned from Florida football today citing Family and the Pitt football opening as the main reasons. It is no guarantee Meyer will be offered the job but he'd like to be included in the discussions. So far, rumored names have Derek Dooley, Lane Kiffin, Chris Peterson, Bill Cowher, Pat Fitzgerald, and Pete Carroll as likely replacements. All are said to want to lead Pitt back to the promise land. Carroll in fact has ties to Pitt in that his Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather played for the Panthers aboard the Mayflower when the Pitt Panthers beat the Pilgrims in a game of Shuffleboard for their first of 9 national championships.
