Re: Paterno Family In Denial...
That family is either:
A) In total denial
B) Lying through their teeth
C) As senile as daddy Paturdo
If they're anything like their patriarch, any or all of things is entirely plausible.
If Jay isn't the heir apparent, where will he work? He'd better pull daddy's coattails out of the closet, maybe they'll hire JayPa as a QB coach at Brown...
Where will Bradley end up? Big Red? I'm assuming Galen will retire.

There's people who say Sue Paterno is sweet as a peach, and there's people who say she's the biggest snake they've ever met.

Re: Paterno Family In Denial...
I am really starting to lose more and more respect for Paterno. It's a shame he legitimately thinks he is the right guy for this job right now. His ego is showing more and more each year. There are 2 reasons people use most for Paterno staying on as long as he has
1) He has earned the right to coach as long as he wants.......
Should Michael Jordan still be playing guard for the Chicago Bulls?
Should Robert Parish still be playing Center for the Celtics?
Maybe Chuck Noll should be coaching the Steelers
2) He saw what happened to Bear Bryant and is afraid to die soon after coaching
In my opinion, he is afraid to see someone win a championship soon after he lives. I think his ego has become so big that he is afraid to see what he has built become even more successful without him manning the reigns.
It is really a shame that a guy who will be 85 thinks he is the best thing right now for Penn State.

Yawn. Lets find something new to talk about. I don't even pay attention to any post WPIAL has anymore on Paterno and Kirk is developing the same disease as WPIAL where he repeats himself in every thread.
