Easter and the beth center boy will be a close final's match..i think Link will get his Thomas Title bc of roberts not being able to compete. I think Gibbons will dominate Guidi in the finals..he looked really impressive. Claysburgh middleweights are still dominating but TRi-Valley has a couple real good kids in there too. I think Rizzo Vs Tarley will be a dandy for a hevyweight final. Claysburg and Tri-Valley look like the two teams to beat in my opinion.

Tri Valley 145 pounder Sam Scheib...wow. The biggest 145 pound kid I have ever seen. I'll still take Aungst over him in what should be a good final.

Heard Roberts from North Star is out with shingles?

At 160 I'm taking Miller from Huntingdon to knock of Guidi in the semis.

Hixson was super impressive in avenging an earlier loss to Mattney. Hixson needs to keep that same level of confidence and aggression and he'll be a force. Would love to see him hang with Rizzo a little bit...

I remember the Shceib kid from last year. He is tough.

Yes, Roberts is out with shingles from what I heard.

Sollenberger and Weyandt should be a good one this morning.

Link runs away with the 112 weight class with Roberts being a scratch! Hough does not stand a chance... Roberts is the only kid around here that can hang with Link...

First off I have to give credit to Somerset for winning the team title with not a single wrestler in the finals.. Claysburg probably having one of the toughest finals..three losses and only one lone winner. Scheib at 145 is the real deal. Kid is absolutely stacked. Bedford lost all three in the finals..all three got out wrestled..but i was very disappointed at the immature temper tantrums that both Gibbons and Krupa threw..very immature and really makes you look even worse after you just got beat. Locals boys who I think had a good showings are first off gotta give it to hixson for taking down and putting rizzo on his back..had him in some trouble..keep up the intensity...sollenberger for winning it at 152...zimmerman from ridge got 4th at 119. overall i think district 5 held its own. It was a great weekend with some high quality wrestling.

I should take some time to look at the point distribution by weight just for fun....Somerset's "bottom seven" had to out score everyone's else's bottom seven by a bunch...because NB's seven places did a good job with what they would have accumulated. 2 champs, 2 thirds, a fourth, fifth and eighth.

Actually Somerset didn't have a kid place until 135 where Darr got 3rd..then 140 4th, 145 7th, 152 3rd, 160 4th, 171 7th, 215 4th, 285 5th.
