Gotta admire the way Graham and company have been closing up this class. At first I was like, "Who the hell are these kids" but some of them have nice offers.

The surprising thing is that Pitt is doing EXACTLY what I would be doing if I took over a program late in the recruiting season and still had a lot of offers to give out: Target kids who play on the defensive side of the ball who are decent prospects and at the same time attack HS's that produce a lot of D1 talent.

This is a class that is not going to light the world on fire in terms of "hype" but this is a very smart approach and I am on board. Well done.

Pitt also had a big recruiting weekend by the looks of it on Scout. If they pull any of those kids, it will be highly impressive. You always wanna be the last school a kid visits, and that's exactly what Pitt is for Eubanks and Pitt's and that Jackson kid. There may be more. All three of them are 4 stars, 2 are committed elsewhere.

Would love to see the California 4 star QB, Eubank come aboard. Also the two McKeesport kids would be nice

the top 3 WPIAL unsigned players all 3 of them have Texas Tech in their final decision? Whats up with the Red Raiders in Western Pennsylvania? Any connection I'm unaware of?


I do like bringing in 4 Backs considering we only have 1 on the roster.
Still only 2 LInemen....ehh maybe we can sneak one more on board
I really like the speed. Nearly every guy is 4.4 speed.
The D Backs seem legit.
We stretched on some guys, but at this point anybody we get I'm happy with

That probably gives us room for 8-9 more considering transfers and 3 guys leaving early. Yet, I'd be surprised if he fills all of those spots. Its looking like we are going to add a 4 star LB from Ohio. Hopefully the McKeesport kids, and maybe get a QB on board(hearing M.Myers wants to leave) and this can be a really really good class considering the circumstances, and having kids from potentially Florida,Texas, California, Pennsylvania, Georgia, DC, Ohio, and Oklahoma Thats stepping outside Wanny's wall.

I dont think Pitt has reached on kids. That kid from Calvary Baptist is like 6'4" 185 and has nice speed for a Safety. Sure, his offers list is "unimpressive", but he may be a "late bloomer" in recruiting terms, or play for a school that plays against "bad" competition. You kinda have to give some staffs the benefit of the doubt, and if this kid was interviewed by the staff and they loved him, you gotta take him. He very well MAY be a hidden gem. Georgia HS ball is very good.

I dont know how Olack picked Toledo over Pitt, even with the coaching change. That's very strange. I hate to say "the kid is making a mistake" but I dont know how you pick a non-BCS school over a BCS one. Maybe the staff didnt like him as much as Wanny did, who knows.

I'll tell you what... They can close this class with a number of 4-star prospects, and for a staff who came in this late, that is very dang impressive.

Also, I am right there with you on the Linemen thing. One good thing though is that Rowell is a very nice prospect, and I wish Penn State would have landed him. At the very least, you should have a very solid Center, and thats arguably the most important OL position.

The stretching I was thinking was more with the Ronald Jones guy from Florida. 5-8 160. Fort Meade, good place to get your name in the door but only offers from Ga. Southern, The Citadel and Marshall.

I also question this Isaac Bennett commit, not that he is a stretch. But how is the Oklahoma 5A player of the year, a 5-11 190 Back with 4.5 speed only sitting on offers from Tulsa and UL Monroe? Gotta be something behind that.

I like the Georgia kid. Could end up being a big time Safety. He's a good reach in my opinion.

Rowell is a good start and I liked the few kids we redshirted the past year in terms of Linemen. Rotheram had offers from a number of Big Ten,ACC, and Big East schools, and Shane Johnson from DeMatha. So theres hope for Linemen in this school yet.


Olack must've not liked what we saw. He's a bigger Wideout and Graham favors smaller, speedier guys. But at the same time its not like Graham isn't going to use guys like Shanahan and Devin Street.....Olack would have found a niche. Strange going to Toledo with 3 Big Ten offers and a Cincy on top of Pitt.


I agree he has room to add some 4 stars and make this class look real impressive for a coach with a real late start. Seems like Hoke at Michigan is doing just fine himself. They just beat us out for a Big 4 star OT from Chicago
