Nittany Lions Going Dancing!?

Post by jack daniel »

After winning their first 3 games of the Big 10 Tournament, including knocking off Wisconsin and Michigan State each for the second time this year, it sure would appear regardless of what happens against the Buckeyes today they are in. Must say I never in a million years saw this coming, gotta give credit to Eddie D., and especially gotta give credit to Talor Battle for taking over that game yesterday putting up 12 points in about 2 and a half minutes. Never thought they'd go to the tourney this year and it sure looks like they are, and never thought they'd make the Big 10 title game and they have, could they do the unthinkable and take down the Buckeyes today? They did only lose by 1 in Columbus, even though they got smacked at the BJC, so we shall have to wait and see.

It's always a feel good story when a mid-major makes The Dance. It will save the school money not having to rent all those buses for the NIT trip.

Penn State isn't a mid-major? But even as a Pitt fan, I'm not one of those Pitt fans that hates Penn St I still root for them here and there, its a good story to see them in there. Especially for Talor Battle a senior whose worked his can off for the last 4 years. And I like the Temple match up, wouldn't surprise me to see them beat the Owls.

I can't believe that all year we could all come here and get updates from Moldo on every Penn State game, but Championship week he fails to produce. Very disappointing.

Penn State going to the big dance is probably going to set the program back instead of forward. They will be horrible next year from what I see of their roster. They will keep Dechellis around and continue on the same path. I don't see Penn State ever being a factor in BB. this is probably the top of the mountain for them.

The worst thing that could have happened did: DeChellis did enough to sav his job again.

Oh I try to be a Penn State basketball fan but DeChellis coaching style makes it hard to watch. Rebuilding? Heck what did the bench score in the tourny, 9 pts? Penn State hoops is going to rebuild like the good ole Pirates.

Yeah I heard Bob Pompeani on KDKA last night talking about how great of a coach he is, this is the first time hes made the tourney. And that team of two years ago that was good enough to maybe make some noise in the tourney, he couldn't get them there!
