Week 5 in the MAC
Huntingdon@ BEA - Well the 'Cats are reeling a bit but the soft side of the schedule is right ahead and they are looking to make a run to try to sneak in the playoff race, a trip to Wingate is just what the doctor ordered.
Huntingdon 28 BEA 14
Philipsburg @ Penns Valley
The Mounties seem to be getting their ducks in a row and turning a corner since a disappointing showing in week 2, P-O surprisingly is the least penalized team in the league heading to the seasons' halfway mark, which shows uncharacteristic maturity and discipline that may have been lacking in recent years.....the Mounties caravan keeps rolling this week
P-O 32 PV 18
Clearfield @ Central Mountain
The Bison continue to gain confidence and momentum as well as blowing the lights out of scoreboards while the Wildcats lost some momentum and maybe some confidence after a trip to New York last week where St Josephs Institute (top 10 big school in NY) laid waste to the boys from Mill Hall 61-28. Don't expect sympathy from the Bison
Clearfield 35 CM 7
Mifflin County @ Bellefonte
Not even gonna start, Bellefonte should have to pay for MC's gas
Mifflin 60 Bellefonte 0
Game of the week
Central @ Tyrone
There's a renewed rivalry blooming here. These two have met 4 times the past 2 years all 4 being well worth the price of admission. The Dragons won the regular season meeting in 09 14-7. Then Tyrone returned the favor 7-0 in the playoffs. In 2010 Tyrone squeaked out a 21-20 nailbiter in season, then pulled the sweep 17-7 in the semifinals last year. These two are well-coached although both have shown a bit of "Jeckyll and Hyde" this year so far. Look for another physical back and forth game at Gray-Vets field
