ICC WEEK 7

Post by rainmaker »

4-2 Last week, 31-6 on the year.

So far this is the best week of the year in the ICC as far as matchups are concerned. I think every game has the potential to go either way (but I think Bellwood and Mt Union will both win big).

Mo Valley @ Claysburg
The Bulldogs got beat up by West Branch last week to prove to me that West Branch is better than I thought they were. Moshannon Valley got rocked by Bellwood last week. The time of possession must have been crazy based on the number of plays that Bellwood ran versus the few that MV had. Mo is the better team here and needs the rebound win. Claysburg is good enough to hang with them, but I don’t think they will.
MV 29 – CK 13

Williamsburg @ Tussey Mountain
Tussey gets the win in a close game.
TM 20 – Williamsburg 18

Mount Union @ Everett
Mount Union wins to set up a potential ICC South Championship game versus Northern Bedford next week. The Trojans are 3-3 and are probably the most up and down team in the ICC. I don’t think it matters though as Everett is really struggling.
Mt. Union 27 – Everett 6

Northern Bedford @ Southern Huntingdon
The Panthers are 5-1 and are having another very good season after last year’s team went 11-1. The running game is still potent as Matt Sollenberger is one of the leading rushers in the area. The defense is playing well too. The Rockets have a legit quarterback in Dean, a talented RB in Reed, and a speedy receiver in Marino. Throw Patterson in the mix and the Rockets have a nice group of playmakers. I think the winner will be the first to 20 points. Can NBC handle the passing game? Lots of teams haven't been able to so far this year.
NBC 21 – SH 13

Glendale @ Bellwood
The Vikings shocked lots of people with their win last week against JV. I think they are too one dimensional to beat Bellwood. Stuby, Degol, and Gray are too good to let Braniff beat them. I really think this one will be close even though Glendale will come out fired up.
Bellwood 34 – Glendale 7

Game of the Week: West Branch @ Juniata Valley
It happened! The Hornets stumbled before the big Bellwood matchup and now they could do it again. West Branch is looking tough at 4-2. Their improvement is maybe the biggest story of the year in the conference. I don’t know if anyone thought they’d do this well. They are at a tough spot in their final three games though as they have Juniata Valley, Mo Valley, and then Northern Bedford. I haven’t picked them yet and probably won’t the rest of the way out. If they finish 6-3 or better that is just unreal. Juniata Valley got beat by the mighty Vikings last week and are as mad as hornets, ha. West Branch will be in all three of their remaining games and they are good enough to win any of them.
JV 28 – West Branch 23

Juniata Valley 35 West Branch 21

JV was absolutely hosed last week at Glendale. I heard that the AD at Glendale even asked some JV people how they like being screwed... Ridiculous!!!
