Maybe Portage should win something other than the Westpac before you start throwing out insults.Portage Alum wrote:Congrats to the CC fellas for beating a AAA team that should be playing in the WPIAL!

Next time Portage wins anything that matters then I will take what you say seriously.

I see nothing wrong with this...In no way am I a Red Devils supporter but with a down year like this and papers like the Trib acting as if Johnstown is filled gods those kids in ebensburg deserve some credit for what they did. Im sure 99% of the people at the game from both sides thought that JTown would win. Hats off to them for an outstanding effort.

Re: Red Devils!
that game was ridiculous. the players could barely even get a hold of the ball with all of the mud everywhere, i still don't know how simon managed to throw and complete the passes that he did. the game was requested to be moved to st. francis or any other turf field and they refused to move it. i don't care what anyone says, that's just not football.
Re: Red Devils!
I agree the field has always been terrible up in Ebensburg, but the not football comment come on. Johnstown had entire game to adjust their play calling to the conditions. Just face it Jtown isn't as good as everyone thinks they are. CC with a great win Congrats.

Where's that so-called Trojan swagger at this morning?
Re: Red Devils!
It seems as though ever year Johnstown loses at least one game that they are favored, many times heavily, to win. And at the same time I do not recall them winning any games which they were supposed to lose. Does anyone else feel this is the case?

It shouldn't matter what was underneath the players' feet. Great teams find ways to win. Congrats to CC.

Re: Red Devils!
That sounds very accurate. Johnstown often has lots of individual talent on the roster but it rarely seems like that talent translates into having great teams. Maybe that revolving door at the head coaching position is the reason why the Trojans have become such notorious underachievers over the past 30 years or so.HasBeen wrote:It seems as though ever year Johnstown loses at least one game that they are favored, many times heavily, to win.
