Who's goin' to Mansion Park?

Post by Eaglealum »

Just like Joe , I'll assure everyone that Tyrone will play at Mansion Park this year. Ha,ha, hopefully two or 3 times. The Eagles senior night game this week with Juniata has been pushed to Mansion Park Friday. Ever since they re-did the wall on the home side of Tyrones' field (and crushed the drainage pipe) Gray Field has been a quagmire with even the slightest of wet weeks. A parent confirmed the move today for me. I'll bet Coach F is thinking ahead a bit as well, if the field drys and hardens with some cold weather in the next couple weeks, it 'll be back to a nice fast track again.
I'll wager that if our line avg 274 like it did in '04, not only would they be staying put Friday, but the sprinklers would probably be turned on as well.

That was one hell of a line in '04...one hell of a team actually. Remember being at that Grove City game in State College with the Tyrone side absolutely packed...that paper measurement was tough.

yeah, I think he came in the D6 championship when Van Allen (sp?) was out. Or atleast a guy who was about 125 lbs lighter than him :)

Jake actually started that year. The first lineman off the bench was Tyler Hoover, a Soph. at the time, who was 6'3 325, and freakishly athletic for someone his size.

My "sometimers" is showing a bit, but wasn't Jake the original starter, but by that time of the year, Jake was dealing with a shoulder and not playing as much?
