Info, Sections

New to the site here, great setup by BleacherCoaches. Avid follower of the wpial AA (district 7). This is my first year being really involved with posting info, rankings and results. I was approached by BleacherCoaches to try and get my district involved on his site so I will be doing my best to do just that. Follow me on twitter to see live results and info or anything wrestling, this is where I do most of my info (@the__eyes) FOLLOW ME. Anything I post on my local forum, I will now be posting on here as well to keep the entire state informed, such as rankings or news of any sort.

Sectional tournamnets are coming this weekend for the WPIAL teams. I will be stationed at Section 1, tweeting the final matches. News and info will follow on these forums.

Final team and individual rankings heading into sections will be out sometime this week, so stay tuned!!

Awesome addition to the site! I would love to see more WPIAL interest. The only team I would ever see WPIAL wrestling before SW Regionals was at the Southmoreland Christmas tourney or at Thomas, and there is only 2 or 3 WPIAL teams that even go to Thomas anymore. It would be real nice to come here to get info about our neighbors to the west.

what are your predictions for the top 3 in each weight for the d7 tourny??

Its hard to tell at this point. Been hearing some info on guys moving around just in time for the section tournaments. So as soon as I see exactly where kids are I'll be able to answer that.

3 big names that are said to be moving are nolf down to 113, zanetta to 126, and mizia back up to 160.

I'll have my final rankings heading into sections coming out this week so stay tuned for those.

What time does sections start at Burgettstown? Or even a tenative schedule would help as a few of us may head on down to watch the event.
Any information would be most appreciated.

I believe it all starts at 9 or 10. Not sure of anything else. I'll check Tom for more info on that.
