Coaching Staff and Philosophy
Coaching Staff and Philosophy
I had tried to start this thread once before but it failed.
But I'm very interested to learn more about the schools in the area.
Can you answer these questions about your team?
1. Who is your head coach?
2. Does he call plays or does he delegate play calling to his staff?
3. If not the head coach, who is your teams offensive coordinator?
4. If not the head coach, who is your teams defensive coordinator?
5. What kind of offense does your team run (base)?
6. What is your "bread and butter" play on offense?
7. What kind of defense does your team run (base)?
8. Is your defense considered conservative (lots of zone coverage) or aggressive (lots of blitzing)
9. What changes would you like to see your team make?
10. What separates your team from the other teams in the area?
I would love, in theory, if only posts that answer the questions above were submitted.
Thanks for your help.

Come on Manfred, its not like any coach in the LHAC doesnt already know what style of offense Richland runs. Everyone knows they have a no huddle style and their offense is signaled by signs. Give you a hint when they put up the Olsen Twins, they are in a twin formation. When they hold up the sign of the NFL they are in a Pro set, and so on. I can even tell you the colored helmets and if they are going to run/pass/etc... I picked all that up watching them play 2 games this year.

Re: Coaching Staff and Philosophy
I agree we did, Moldo leave this topic and lets discuss the topic this post was made for, Team Styles. Does anyone believe that Tyrone losing their head coach will dramaticcly change their coaching philosophy? I have also heard rumors that Murray Fetzer was hired as the offensive coordinator. Can anyone give us a run down on what his team info was about while he was at Mo Valley to try and give us an inside look at what Tyrone may look like this year?

Not hard. Murray was weened on veer...coached on Franco's staff for a year or 2 before gettin the Mo Valley job... Kind of Hybrid/Veer/Power /pro I... which , with the Eagles having a new but very good QB taking over and 7 very good linemen to compliment a bevy of speed with Oliver,Gearhart, younger Dorminy and possibly Snyder or Makdad seeing some time at FB....if you are on defense, best advice would be to get the heck out of the way! haha. They'll be fine!

I agree. Don't forget about Muir at FB also - small, tough, quick. I think you'll see that basic Tyrone Pro style offense mixed in with some of the veer and quick traps. They may see Wilson-Adams do some QB also. IMO, biggest difference in Tyrone this year - they won't have the big plays (Franco to Patton).

There will be big plays, the majority just won't be fly and chuck....but I'll wager the number of 20+ YDS PLAYS WON'T dip much this year.
