Central vs Fort Hill
Central vs Fort Hill
He have had some good posters from the Cumberland area in years past and Central has a real nice club this year so I thought I'd start a topic for this game. Let's hear your thoughts and predictions!

Re: Central vs Fort Hill
Fort Hill is 3-2 this year. Return just one starter from the team that beat Ligonier Valley a year ago. They start more sophomores (6) than seniors (4). Fort Hill has scored over 50 points in each of their three wins and have given up over 50 in both of their losses. A big game for both teams I have to go with the home team 28-26.

I am looking forward to this game. I like these cross state matchups. It seems this might be Cebtral's year based on what happened in the Tyrone game and playing Clearfield to the wire. I will say Central wins by a touchdown

Re: Central vs Fort Hill
How would you rate Fort Hill's overall team speed?
Central thrives on the big play and making plays in space and on the corners...especially Moore and Cunningham.
But, Central has also had success banging it in the middle with Conrath and at times, Slick.
What is the surface like at Fort Hill? I thought Central looked especially quick on the beautiful new omniturf at Clearfield...but so did Clearfield.
Central has been on a roll lately in the opening quarters...almost like a machine but also utilizing big plays. They are building confidence and another strong performance on the road will do wonders for team morale as Central approaches playoff time.

Out of the teams I've seen play this year (Tyrone, Bellwood, Central Martinsburg, Clearfield, McCort, Forest Hills, Richland, Penn Cambria, Guilfoyle)...
...I'd put Central at the top with Clearfield & Richland

FH has decent speed, maybe not what they had last year though.
The surface is known as FieldTurf.
Turnovers have killed FH in both losses. Typical young team looking for consistency.
What kind of crowd will Central bring? Greenway Ave. Stadium has about 6,000 seats.

Central usually travels pretty well. Not sure of a number, but they'll have a nice fan base there I would imagine.

Central should cruise by Fort Hill. Too bad the Dragons don't play Allegany that would be a good match up.
