Fact...
I feel the game against Harrisburg was a big wakeup call for State High.

Fiction....Too many potholes on that road to Hershey. They avoided all of them last year, two in a row might be asking a bit much. McDowell, Penn Hills, NeCaHi, or someone else from the WPIAL or City who catches fire will catch them on the right night. Like Sports999, I hope I'm wrong!

Fiction
Saw State College play Penn Hills last Saturday. They're a good team, certainly one of the best in the west. The AAAA west features several teams that can compete with State College, most notably McDowell, GJR, Penn Hills, Chartiers Valley, and a few others from the WPIAL.
State is NOT the same team this season that they were last season.
They really miss the outside/inside presence of GNorwood (now coming off the bench at mid-major D1 George Mason as a true frosh) and bulky 6-6 250 Jon Stupar. Morse, Meister, and JNorwood are good players, the rest of their players are very ordinary.
State has a few more difficult games on their schedule. They play home against Williamsport and at Shaler Area. Neither of these games will be "gimmes."
