SF vs. Tri-Valley
SF vs. Tri-Valley
I think this game will be pretty close, at least closer than what most think

Re: SF vs. Tri-Valley
I hope you're right D5fan. They've been playing extremely well and their confidence level is "up". This would be terrific for S.Fulton in particular and Fulton County and the SHL in general if they could get to the state championship game.
Regardless of what happens, it's been a great run. Good Luck SF ladies!

Re: SF vs. Tri-Valley
If SF can handle the full court pressure and slow down the 6'5 girl they have an excellent chance. It'll be tough but as you said SF has a lot of confidence and is playing there beat ball!

Re: SF vs. Tri-Valley
I think the big matchup to watch in this game will be SF's Ashley Roman agaisnt TV's Tara Nahodil. Nahodil is a Seton Hall recruit and has about 4 inches on Roman. I don't think Roman and the rest of the Inidans can stop her, but if they limit her and hold her scoring to the low teens I think SF's chances are very good. If Roman can score in the low teens as well agaisnt someone like Nahodil then I think SF's chances are really good. I also think a big part of the game will be how well SF handles TV's pressure. I expect to see Hollenshead and company handle it, but if they don't it could be a long night for SF. The Morton girl is also going to have to score more than two points for SF to win. If Hollenshead, Morton, and Roman all score double digits, and the Wertz and Chilcote girl can score 7 or 8 apiece, I think SF will be there in the end and will have a very good chance to win. It would be awesome to have a District 5/6 State Championship game if both SF and BG could win!

Re: SF vs. Tri-Valley
I have seen Tri-Valley play and no offense to SF but it will be a 16-20 pt game. Their post player is a machine and their guards will be harassing Hollenshead all evening. They love to run with the ball and they are on a mission this year. I really think it will be over by halftime but again just my opinion.

Re: SF vs. Tri-Valley
Northern Cambria beat Tri-Valley twice in last handful of years (4 and 3 years ago I think when their tall girl was a Freshman). I was very impressed with Tri-Valley coach (who left about 4 years ago but I think he came back). He ran a great motion offense.
Tri-Valley and Steel High were two favorites to win A, even over BG. So this will obviously be a stiff test for SF.
