Two entertaining all star games Sat. The results are in the local rag. The reason for my post is, during the boys' game, with about a couple minutes left and the North having just scored a trey and taking a 102-101 lead, the scorers table screwed up and took away points from the North and gave them to the South. None of the refs or other officials saw fit to stop play and correct this before continuing play. The action continued, and a desperation trey by Dalton Cesarz at the buzzer gave the North the win, at the time posted as 112-111. The paper today showed the actual, corrected score. My point is, the strategies and executions for both sides was affected by this screwup. Had the North known they were already ahead by a few points, they don't fire up the buzzer-beating trey. If the South knew they were actually trailing by several points, they would have been trying to score differently, and maybe it would have been them firing up a trey at the buzzer. Yeah, it was just an all star game, but c'mon man. An aside- I have been a frequent critic of the T-D's Cory Isenberg for what -I- feel are shortcomings in her reporting, but I just want to say....she knows how to properly sing the National Anthem, and did a really decent rendition of it.
